What flashlights are people running? I want an M-Lok light, but really don’t want to spend $400 on it

Olight makes some really good lights that are priced reasonable. They do have some good sales often around major holidays so if you can wait for Memorial Day I'm sure they'll be even cheaper. Personally I like the rechargeable ones because you don't have to worry about regular batteries going dead on you but you do need to remember to charge them. ?

If you want a good cheap alternative I have this one and it works good too.

Hey Jesse, Dave's right about the Olights. I have a mini PL2 on my Glock 30 and love it. Depending on how much you use it, they don't need to be recharged THAT often...had mine for over a year and have charged it 3 times including the initial charge.

I had an Inforce APL on the gun before the Olight, but it was a lot larger and ran through the batteries a lot faster than I thought it should with very little use. I started looking for an alternative and came across the Olights. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Ughhhh! I was really into guns from the time I graduated college until I met my wife. I sold a bunch of guns to fun her engagement ring, and then later to fund my Mustang GT addiction. All of my co-workers have been building AR pistols, and it was giving me the itch. And then I bought one of our agency's retired Remington 870 Police Magnums, and I've been working on fixing that up.

And now I own a stripped lower! My lieutenant bought a bunch waaaaayyyyyyyy back for $50 each and put them up for future products, and just sold one to me for $50 and a Coke Zero!

Now I have a huge credit card bill as I've ordered a bunch of 9mm parts for it!!!!!

I wanted to be able to run one of my QD suppressors on a 10.5" PSA rifle I have. Problem is they installed a 12" handguard so that wasn't going to work. Needed to install a 10" handguard.

If any of you have ever disassembled a PSA rifle, you'll understand the first picture. There is a special place in hell for PSA assembly techs.

Probably designed by the descendants of the engineer who designed this. Biggest pita of all I have taken down.

The problem is PSA torques their barrel nuts to an absurd spec AND stakes them. I can heat the nut up till its smoking and it still won't break free. I almost always have to cut them off. I've had a few I've been lucky with, but for the most part they must assemble their barrels with a healthy dose of hatred and misery.

Now if we are talking top award for "what where they thinking?" that goes to the Ruger Mark series. For the average user (maintenance) no big deal. However many many years ago I had a side business refinishing firearms (Duracoating) which required complete break downs.

If anyone here has ever had to do a ground up reassemble one of these assholes they will know exactly what I am talking about.

I have an early MK II and have never had enough nerve to completely take it down. The problem with the Nylon 66 is the stock and receiver are 1 piece , molded together so EVERYTHING goes thru a hole or slot and has to be done in an exact sequence. Assembly instructions is 10 pages long and a must.

When I was a kid I dreamed about the nylon 66, but never got one ...
Same here. I found this one about 25 years ago for $100. They're $400 and up if you find one now. My favorite of all 22 rifles is a Winchester 321 that I gave $150 for including a Leupold 3X9 on it. Neat history to it, I found out later. The barrel was made by Winchester but everything else was by Omark Australia. they later moved to the US and became Kimber. great shooter.

I built this for fun and because I wanted a pistol caliber carbine. I'm fooling around with adapters that stuff into PMags that chamber them in 9mm. I still need to put my can and longer handguard on it! It looks a little ridiculous. LOL
