I thought you had to keep it in it original configuration? If not that's good to know and a lot cheaper because I have several different size uppers already.

No.

Same reason that when people add longer threaded barrels to a pistol, or change calibers, you don't have to keep the original around. Once the lower is registered, an SBR is an SBR. You can also throw a standard rifle length upper on it if you need to travel out of state.

I've got various stripped SBR lowers that have been various configurations over the past 8 years.

A couple of my competition Single Action Revolvers. These are 357 Magnum Ruger Vaqueros. I have been competing in Cowboy Action Shooting since 2013. It's a lot of fun.
Just got done cleaning them.

Nice. I like Ruger. Used to have a Security Six in .357, but moved over to New Model Blackhawk in .41mag when I was a hunter, now I use a S&W 1911 - less punishment as I prep my hands to become dainty tailgate user... or not

Yes. I cast and Hi-Tek coat all of my own bullets.
I have a pair of Blackhawks in 45 Colt. Can’t go wrong with Ruger!

I've used (use) Lyman #2 from Buffalo Arms Co, always seems to have been a consistent quality for me. You had good results with Hi-Tek, read about it, but not tried it.

Lyman #2 is the type of lead alloy correct? It is usually around 90% lead, 5% tin, and 5% antimony. Hi-Tek is an epoxy type coating that is baked on to the lead projectile. It eliminates the need for the grease type lube in the grooves of the bullet. The alloy I use is similar to the official Lyman #2 alloy. But I alloy it myself.

Yes. Haven't developed those metallurgy muscles yet, which is ok for me right now. I will be trying the Hi-Tek next time I am manfacturing.

Does eliminate fouling completely (I mean as far as lead/copper goes)?

Take a little time and read this. It will answer a lot of questions and take months off the learning curve for shooting cast bullets.
It doesn’t discuss Hi-Tek coating or Powder Coating but that stuff is really not difficult.

Thought I would share an oldie but goodie. This is my 1906 Smith and Wesson 32 S&W Top Break Revolver.
Still locks up tight and shoots well for a firearm that is 114 years old. Ammo is fairly scarce so I cast my own bullets and make all of my own ammo. Don't really shoot it much though.
I have modern guns as well as older ones in my collection. I have been involved with firearms since the early 70's and have been a competitive shooter for about 7 years.
