Yep. The El Camino had a full frame, but not a bed separate from the cab. So although it wasn't a truck, it was still more of a truck than a Honda Ridgeline IMHO. ???
The Ridgeline/Pilot is a nice little grocery getter. My financeè has a Pilot. You're not going to haul a ton of topsoil or tow a 7,500 lb trailer with a Ridgeline. It all depends on your needs.

To be fair, that poor Ranger clearly isn't handling that topsoil very well despite it being a TRUCK.

I'll be watching Carvana to see what they are asking. Looked out there the other day and there were no Rangers...

That was an '89 with a 4 Banger and a 5 speed and she did fine. That was over a yard of pretty moist topsoil which is a heavy ton. 60 psi in the rear tires. ? That was the first load of 2. The Ranger is a TRUCK, not some unibody vehicle with a bed.
Built Ford Tough. ????

Thanks Its a great SUV for those who like that and a truck for those who like that. ITs a great meld between the two vehicles. Drives like its on glass. No bouncy. But I don't go rock climbing but it has crawl contriol anyway

Major likes Bed radio is very nice. Love the side opening tailgate easy to step into the bed.
I like the V6 Turns off two cylinders on the highway for 28MPG. Runs on 87. Love the room behind the front seats. No floor hump!!

Major dislikes,,,, The Wheels suck... IM leasing so Im not gonna make this a "hobby" truck. If I bought it I would change those rims LOL Only ordered a roll up tonneau and bug Deflector II

I wonder if its location based.... My offer (just looked out of curiosity) was 22k
Don't quote me but I think it's based on the fact that they had a lot of XLT and no lariats except for mine and my brothers. When I dropped off the truck oh, the carvanha girl was great she said they're buying a ton of trucks they just bought four wheel drive Tacoma 2016 I think . They paid 40K for it they paid me exactly what they said they would to the penny. Very easy deal I'll sell all my cars to them. I asked her whether paying so much for the lariat she said they sell every Ranger Lariat they acquire.

Nice ride, how long is the bed? i love how the rear seat folds up and that hidden compartment in the bed. something like that would be more useful for my purposes as my truck is primarily a work vehicle and probably get better mileage than the ranger.

"Was looking at the RDX and RX350 but I need a pick up. The Ridgeline RTL-E leased for $417 a month..."
Looks to me like the Ridgeline was referred to as "a pick up", which means pick up TRUCK. And I am simply stating that a Ridgeline is no pick up truck. It is a car/suv unibody thing with a bed on the back.
A Ford Ranger is a Real Truck with a Real 4WD system available.
Thats an argument made by those with body on frame trucks. For someone like me its "Truck enough!!!" Only 5000lbs of towing. IT can carry anything the ranger can carry in the bed.

Remember Obama said he was 1/2 black? but to a cab driver in NY he is all black...Well that's how I feel about the Ridgeline. IF I ran over someone and left the scene 99% of the people asked would say it was a truck.....except for Ranger and Toyota drivers,,,,LOL

Semantics..99% of people who describe the Ridgeline will call it a truck. I know the difference between body on frame......Bouncy compared to the Ridgeline.

5' 3' and I can lay 4' wide wood No wheel wells to hinder a flat load ALL trucks should have this feature. . About 20MPG in town. Its a very pep-py engine.

The "truck" is an acquired taste. Definitely It grows on you like a fungus..LOL

I wasn't really selling, just wanted to see. you got a hell of a deal. you'll be back when your lease is up
I don't think so. I initially was selling the Ranger to look at SUVs. I was looking at RDX,
RX350..I stopped at Honda on my way to look at some RX350s in Charleston.......The test ride was eye-opening for me. I never did get to Charleston..... A lot of features lacking on the Ranger. I did look at some Youtube videos of people taking it off road. It's very capable except for extreme conditions. All-wheel drive is very nice on a boat ramp. Two wheel drive Ranger on a slippery boat ramp is going to be very entertaining....

"Rather than take the safe route, Honda produced a small, unibody truck that challenged the very idea of the pickup truck. Though many have believed the Ridgeline isn't even a competitor in the game, Honda is continually proving that the Ridgeline is capable, both on and off the road" .

Congrats Tom! You probably sold it at the ideal time. Ranger inventory (new and used) is low everywhere since the plants shutdown in April/May. I would imagine that in the next few weeks production will be catching up and Carvana won't be offering as much.

I was curious too last week and I got a quote from Carvana. My truck is an XLT, FX4, tow package, sport appearance package, so I think it MSRPed for about $38k. With the 25k miles I have on the truck, I got quoted $30k which I was pretty impressed with tbh. I considered selling it for a second, but then I realized there's really not much else on the market that I would want in replacement lol. Probably would have jumped on it if the Bronco was out, but I'm also trying to save money right now...guess I'm with the Ranger for the long haul!
Realize something else here. My truck was paid off so in essence I banked $36,000 I took a $417 a month lease. We lease both our vehicles now. I would never lease a ranger or Tacoma. One thing very nice about the Ridgeline is not a "hobby truck" you're not going to go out and buy running boards, leveling kit, and new tires and wheels and all that crap it's just what it is. I hate the wheels on this truck but I don't have to look at them.

Dave, I'm too old to be concerned about what others think. That's the benefit of retirement you don't give a shyt. For me, if it's everything I need a truck for and what I would need an SUV for. Backseat has a lot of leg and Headroom. But I keep them up any way I like the space back there to throw stuff like a bicycle. We're taking it up to the range on Wednesday
