But won't that be just for Bronco production? Or are they going to build Rangers and Broncos at the same time? I know they sit on the same platform - or will. One shift produces Rangers and the next shift produces Broncos?

Maybe those are silly questions - I really have no idea - just that if they want to produce more to approach Tacoma levels they will need to add more capacity. I don't know what the targets are.
Idk they used to run Explorer and Taurus down the same line at the same time in Chicago. Everything is flex manufacturing these days and I seriously doubt they will be setting up different lines for the Ranger and Bronco. They will all run down the same line.

I used this as a base and made my own mounting bracket off the rear bumper mount driver side . works amazing and is lower then the bumper step was on the Colorado . I installed it so it is the same level as the trailer hitch . I can pull the release and it will swivel to the left so I can stand on with the gate up or flip it to the far right so it is out of the way .

In the same boat will come out of a 2015 Colorado WT. I could not believe the written trade in offer for my Colorado. Now they just need to honor it when my Ranger arrives.

Supposedly some of the limitations are in areas that will be shared with bronco production, so they won't put the money into expanding those until they're ready to add the bronco tooling. There will be separate lines, but some things (e.g., paint? post-build addons like bedliners or running boards?) will be shared.
There won’t be separate lines at least not in final assembly. It’s all flex manufacturing. Ranger and Bronco will run down the same line intermixed depending on demand of the model. Heck back in the mid 2000’s they were running Mazda 6s and Mustangs down the same line at Flat Rock. Running Rangers and Broncos which are both T6 platform down the same line will be a piece of cake compared to that. Now there might be different welding lines for Ranger or Bronco bodies, but the rest of the assembly will be flexed.

They don't have time to worry about Ranger... they're spending all the time they have trying to fix transmissions.
