No, not another one of these! Seriously checking for interest and will be happy to move along to market section if so.

I ordered a GFB DV+VTA for our Mustang since we've enjoyed the one on the Ranger so much. Long story short I ended up with another Ranger model that doesn't fit. All parts are unused and repacked in the original box. If there's truly a desire among the group I'll post it up for sale in the market section below.

It came from Panda and they assure me it is the Ranger model. I can include pictures if needed for those interested.

Price at Panda is $182.02 and came to 198 and some change tax and all. Y'all let me know.

What about it doesn't fit?

I thought the same thing when I got the GFB DV but after some reading in this thread I found out why it doesn't fit initially and how to fix that.

Did you remove the lip ring on the solenoid like this?

If you use a small pair of channel locks, lightly grip the ring and twist it and the solenoid in a counter rotation it will pop free nearly instantly and allow the GFB DV to properly seat against the solenoid. If you squeeze too tightly the ring might break. If it does and you want to go back to stock, you can get a replacement solenoid valve for 80-110 depending on where you go. They used the same valve on the 2018 FORD FUSION SE 1.5L.

And yes the provided screws will work.

Look at posts 77 and 78 about the screws. When first starting them you will need to press down to get them to bite, but once started they will go in with minor resistance and will tighten up just fine. Just be sure not to over-torque them as the housing is plastic.

Hope this helps.

Agree with above - those posts saved the day with the one I placed on my Ranger a few months ago. This one I ordered for our 2019 Mustang Eco-boost 2.3 and they inadvertently sent one that doesn't fit. In our troubleshooting of the issue they told me that had provided me with the unit for our Rangers. It wasn't an even swap money wise due to open box and restocking fees so I decided to keep it and store for later use or share with an interested group member for a small discount over new.

Also, if anyone is exploring a similar option for Mustang, be careful, our Ranger OEM diverter separates easier than the Stang. Ask me how I know and why my Stang OEM diverter valve is now trash....

Wait a second here. They sent you the wrong part, and wont swap it even for you without charging you a fee because you opened it and found out they sent you the wrong part?

I realize this was a long time ago but I agree... if they shipped you the wrong part they should take it back and get you the right part. The fact that they wouldn't do that makes me hesitant to spend money with the above mentioned seller.
