Front Bumper Off Center

Anyone else have their front bumper off center? Had the truck for about 5 months never really noticed the bumper sticks out past the fender about ½" on the passenger side. But flush on the Driver side.

You the original owner? If not it might have been in a little fender bender previously and just wasn't aligned properly . I got rear ended shortly after I got my truck, minor one luckily. When the body shop was "done" I went to pick it up and promptly informed them they were not done as the rear bumper was NOT centered...AT ALL. I noticed it as soon as I walked up. How they could not see it is beyond me.

Even this guy would have probably seen it lol.

AND the driver's side is a bit higher than passenger side.

It could have left Michigan Assembly that way. It could have been a body shop as Morgan suggests.

The previous owner might have misaligned it after loosening the bumper to remove front crash bars or to perform other modifications or repairs.

It’s easy enough to align it yourself. You need to remove the plastic lower valance to access the bumper bolts (3 each side, I think). Be careful not to break/lose retention clips or mess up the parking assist sensors (if you have them).

If you change it, it may change the air foil and you will then get 2 MPG less, if you havent noticed it till now I would leave it alone, it looks fine from here LOL

If he does center it, his Ranger should then track straight.
As it is now, with the added drag on the right/passenger side, it is most likely pulling to the right.
This is probably causing all kinds of problems.....cupping and wear on the front tires, excessive strain on the steering components due to fighting the constant pulling to the right, and of course, the lower mpg, which as you know is a major topic of concern for Ranger owners.....

My 2022 was everything off center. My 2020 was the best built ranger i had. All worked and solidly put together. Even my 2024 ranger had a bad inverter right out the gate. And parts still dont quite line up.

A little parking lot tap will bend the ears in slightly. I don't think it's out of alignment. look at how the radius sharpens at that brown streak compared to the right side.

Exactly - I worked closely with a crap-ton of executives for a good part of my career, writing the corporate messaging to make them look their best. Then, they go off script and it’s sooo embarrassing. Seriously, WTF is wrong with these people? Why are they so freakin’ weird?

If it bugs you that much, loosen the bolts on the bumper mount and slide it over a bit. It’ll take you 15 mins max.

Weird and cheap, when I worked sales we'd do a campaign targeted towards c level execs where for the privilege of meeting with me they get some sort of itune card for $25 , I was surprised how many of these cheap bastards agreed to meet and then upon doing so several just said give me the card, I'm not interested in doing business with you. Some of these were Fortune 500 companies.

Bumper’s off centre, now the thread‘s off centre too. Unlike the bumper, this can’t be fixed.

I wrote a great speech for a bank CEO (typical white, middle-aged, well-educated, male), who went off script to try and relate to his audience by sharing how it was so difficult for him to fit in and be accepted when he first moved to Canada………wait for it………from Ireland.

His audience? Primarily black and brown employees (mostly newcomers) attending the bank’s annual diversity event.



They are a special breed for sure.
