Understanding your concern, it actually gives you a good idea until you have no fuel in the tank(vs other manufacturers that claim you will be empty when you still have a few extra gallons). It's more than just being low on fuel. This is especially helpful when on a road trip.

That said ForScan can be very helpful to troubleshoot problems along with turning some features on. It's a cool program to say the least

As @airline tech said,
You need to understand it's not good for the fuel pump (cooling & lubrication) of the pump comes from the fuel.
100%, this was going to be my reply too. I am from the North East and never let my tank go under half. Never know when a blizzard, hurricane or other calamity will take out the power, making fuel unobtainable. I don't drive as much now that I am retired and roll into the Costco gas a mile from my house to fill it when it goes under 3/4. I never understood letting it get that low, not counting my poverty years, 50 years ago. :)

I don't need the truck to tell me I'm low on fuel. I can look at the needle and figure it out for myself.

So, I have a question since something is not right here.
Low Fuel Level Warning & just under a 1/2 tank.

Note: The IPC feeds power back to the tank (fuel sender)
Is this a continuous message - no matter the fuel level?

If YES - Pull Fuse 13 (BCM) for 5-Minutes and see if it resets.
If no help - try a IPC Self-Test Reset and also ck for codes
It may be the Fuel Sender Assy-depending on if the fuel gauge is truly correct.

Nah... this only happens when I'm low on gas. I'm not sure the needle was fully set when I snapped the pic. But it was below ¼ when I pulled out of the garage.

I just don't like seeing the reminder... I don't need it. I was always happy with just the little yellow dot that lit up beside the gas pump symbol when your tank was getting low. The reminder feels like an insult to my intelligence. I drove for 55 years with nothing more than a yellow dot. I don't need my truck treating me like a child.

I do not see a way to turn it off (disable) the warning in the As-Built files
However, if you are consistently running the truck with low fuel levels for this to be annoying.
You need to understand it's not good for the fuel pump (cooling & lubrication) of the pump comes from the fuel.
Several top quality mechanics I know advise me to fill up at or above 1/4 tank to protect / extend the life of the fuel pump. It is no fun pulling the bed or dropping the tank to change out that pump.

I pulled the bed on my 4G last year at 200K miles to change the pump. Not hard with my lift, but much tougher without a lift. And breaking the pump ring loose and then reinstalling to lock it required a 5' cheater bar and a special ring tool. I'm 70, so things are a little tougher then when I was younger, but it will be a challenge without the correct tools, or expensive going to a mechanic.

The fuel pump assy alone is $385 at RockAuto (this is a part that you want the Ford part), and you still need the gasket, removal tool, etc., or pay a mechanic a grand or so to do the job.

Take good care of your fuel pump. If you do you'll never see the low fuel warning pop up again!

Yeah ever since I got big tires.. I’ve been filling up before I get down to a quarter tank to avoid the alerts too 😅

I think it only looks like it’s just below a half do to the angle and how close which the picture was taken of the cluster.

If you are saying the issue is with Forscan, try deleting the truck's profile in Forscan and then create a new one.

- According to the FORScan forum, RangerBill could be right.
The other lead I found in the forum was, "Make sure the Ignition is on".
There was also a mention of entering the part number of your PCM like the dialog box says.

Just me talking but I would do the 'delete truck's profile' thing first. It's the easiest step.
