Every truck I have ever owned... if you keep same pressure all around, your back end ends up bouncing around like all heck. So I learned a long time ago, to set the back tires about 4-5lbs less than the fronts. (Just a preference thing.) But something I do prefer.
WOW - I was going to send a request to you about the pressure setting you used. I have a 'new' set with just 6K on them right now. Been super worried about running enough pressure (mine are currently set at 37lb front and 32lb in back)....but reading what you have hear - It sounds like I can...
Did you ever get more info on these parts? Are they interchangeable? I believe I may be running into this issue as well. Just also noted the 'towing package' comment on a couple sites.
TIA!
Yeah, the 5.4 is NOT FUN...loved my 2002 lightning, but with the blower and the way the plugs slanted, me did not likey. BUT I still miss that truck. Was fun toasting vettes.
APOLOGIES - that is 265 70 17. My mistake. :( I'll be correcting my original post on this as well.
No, I didn't have to cut/remove the crash bars. I did level the truck 2.5".
I do plan to remove the crash bars though, as I may also get spacers 1.5". IF I do that, then I will cut them out.
Actually, I came from having a subi outback (2015). The problem with the newer outbacks is simple...the computer doesn't let the wheels slip AT ALL. Even when you try and shut down the traction control. I improved the tire size and got some AT's on it...and then started researching because I...
Take my comment as nothing more than this is how it works from MY perspective.
I have tuning experience on engines since the 90's. (Shadetree mechanic) - The more timing you can run (while cruising) the better fuel mileage you can achieve. Period.
Some are noticing that 89 gets better...
So for those sticking with stock rims...I've got the factory 17" and added 265 70 17 - these so far (just installed a few days ago) ride nice for me. Running Milestar Pantagonia MT's on my stock 17 rims. I also leveled with a 2 1/2" kit. I believe in the coming weeks or so I'll add some...
Another AVS here...flat black...textured and as far as I'm concerned looks more 'rugged' and very effective. I didn't want the traditional clip on that sits away from the hood as I felt that would be harder to clean when washing time comes.
Just my feeling about it. I found that I get less...
Living in OC (socal) I see them all the time...first saw it back at the LA auto show several years ago...this is the ONE electric vehicle I would own. They are awesome. That truck gives you everything...range (400+ miles with extended batt) 4x4, and supercar speed (sub 3 sec 0-60). So, if i...
Funny that you found it in the 'shade' section...it's a lightbar. But well...yeah. That is throwback to the guys that used to add them to their pickups because they really want to drive an '18 wheeler'.
I got my smaller truck because I wanted a smaller truck. ;)
FOUND it...I too have a little over hang. I started looking for 'fender alignment' and this came up...

I also have this same deflector - was my way of doing an 'old man' mod w/out it looking like an 'old man' mod. lol
I've had NO issues with it for about 3 months now...used my ford points total was $89 or something (free to me though). :)
Gonna sound funny, but pull it off and check to make sure all the white clips are attached correctly...then pop it back on. I've had mine off multiple times and each time I verify the clips are attached before trying to press it back on.
Or you can just take to dealer and let them verify. it...
The only reason you would get any kind of performance or gas mileage boost would have been if something was wrong with your existing (old) plugs....which based on the pictures you posted...no way. Those were some healthy looking plugs you swapped out. However, changing them out is a no harm...
If you are looking to add anything...find E85 and put about 3.5 gallons in your tank when you fill up. It will bump up your octane for the tank to about 93.5 (instead of 91) - this will give you more power if you are tuned. I do this all the time with my livernois 91/93 tune. Yep...it pulls...
Thank you for actually providing an answer for the OP, dgc. It's sad that he posted a question and all he got was a bunch of 'why do you need to know that'.
I came in here looking for a potential pad replacement simply because IF I needed to replace them sooner than expected, I'd have an...
Thanks everyone! I figured it was 'normal' just wanted to make sure. ;)
Also - kinda intersting that it's BEFORE the back tire. You'd expect it to be after the tires. But I guess they want to sell the flaps for that. lol
