I did have those Crager SS wheels on my 57 Chevy Belair 2 door Coup... And I had a Quadraphonic 8 Track Player to go with my Wonder Bar Tube AM radio! I did have a problem finding quad 8 Track tapes even way back then.

I loved that Chevy. Easy to work on and fun to drive. A great teenager automobile. 4 speed Muncie M-22 rock crusher paired with a 327ci v8 with "camel back" 202 fuelie heads.

Happy times
Would have been a great high school car, bet you had your pick of poon with that.

Hey I may fly out of my LARIAT
/ TREMORs windshield. Yes I got the recall, haven’t / won’t address this (mine seems not to leak) because THE reason I own this truck (FORD) is because of the Lawyer / lemon law buy-back of my other manufacturers truck when they couldn’t fix a leaking rear window on a BRAND NEW / discovered at the first wash truck, and how that dealer / Mfg. F’d up my brand new truck “trying” to fix it.

Haven’t “we” been making automobiles for a while now?

Friday yet?

I'll admit I was surprised to see that the Ranger was ranked the second most dangerous pickup. I know we only represent a small percentage of owners out there but based on those who've been involved in some pretty bad ones here I thought it would rank a lot higher.

? They must of based their rankings from those blue ones? :lipssealed:?

My take away upon reading it is that it doesn't really mention crash test ratings but based on occupant fatalities. Then goes on to say:

"But these safety features are being countered by distracted driving and higher rates of speed, leading to rising accident and death rates in recent years "

So their pretty much putting fault on the Ranger drivers. Anyone else read it that way and not so much the construction of the truck or lack of safety features??

Mine jumped 2 years ago on my Ranger. They said cost to repair them after an accident and theft of things like the LED lighting replacement cost gives them a higher rate now. I checked 2 other companies and got the same numbers. They didn't care it spends full time in my garage and not on the street like many. My wife’s Forester has a higher safety rating because most are owned by older people with low accident occurrence. Apparently nobody steals Forester LEDs ? that are really expensive with the turning mechanism to follow the steering.
My insurance guy told me that they write off a lot more vehicles now because of that repair cost, its cheaper than fixing them. Plus they're not paying someone on their end to process the paperwork involved in repairing. The money we pay monthly primarily goes to injury when we hurt someone else in the accident.

They did that with my '19. My claims adjuster said I was within $2,000 of it being totaled but he knew once they got into fixing it there would be a lot more amendments to the claim that would push it over what it was worth to repair. As much as I loved my '19 in the end I'm glad it turned out this way. I had full replacement value on it and ended up with my '23 Tremor at zero (besides my $500 deductible) out of pocket cost and a new warranty too.

And in the wintertime after it snowed holding on to back bumper and doing what we called sole surfing which was fun until you hit a dry spot in the road and could not run fast enough to keep from doing a terrible wipeout.
We called bumper skiing. Even did this in the military?
