Yeah! Crusin' the Ave with your favorite tunes blaring on the 8-track, showing off at the lights. Those were good times!Who remembers doing this? Some of my best memories were driving around with a car full of friends and no place to go. Gas was around $0.75/gal and you could drive for hours doing absolutely nothing and still have fun!

I can remember these (vaguely) when my dad would pump gas and having to spin the dial like this one.I'm showing my age, but I remember when gas, Sunoco 260 was .29 cents a gallon.......

I also had the surfer gas pedal and the surfer dimmer switch pedal as well; I never did anything half ass back then.I had that Pioneer 8-track player!
And in the wintertime after it snowed holding on to back bumper and doing what we called sole surfing which was fun until you hit a dry spot in the road and could not run fast enough to keep from doing a terrible wipeout.Who remembers doing this? I might have been 5yrs. old , but can remember 19 cents....Atlantic Richfield station in Chula Vista, Ca...I remember gas at 18 cents/gallon...and I didn't have to pump it myself...
