Interesting. Where in Jax? I was in town from 12/10 - 1/4. Waiting for a 'free dyno day' in my area....

Unleashed is in st Augustine , Torrie tuned it both on the street and the Dyno is in Orange Park . Dyno is around 100 + dollars, mine was free as it was the R+D truck for Unleashed Tunes, they had it for a week…

Getting mine done by GAS next week 1/17. Along with installing Fox 2.0 shocks/coilovers.

There's a mention of having to update firmware on ProCal before taking it in? Is that true?
Ben
Did you get your tune installed?
Interested in your experience with GAS and the tune.
Also important, did you submit the documents for warranty yet?

It was fine. $700 labor install shocks. $100 labor alignment. $175 labor do tune update. Took them one day.

They didn't re-adjust headlights or fog-lights. I asked about the ACC adjustment and he didn't know what that was, and I said it was in the supplied manual. So he called the alignment guy who said he did it, but without pulling the bumper off (which i really don't want to do) I'll never know.

265/70R17 tires go on later this week.

Regarding the tune however, man i can already feel the tune difference - even before the required break in. The lower end of the gears just feel so smooth and it feels peppier.

I haven't submitted any warranty stuff yet. Do I need to?

If it wasn't done by a Ford dealer you will be responsible for sending the receipts to Ford Performance.

Enjoy
Had the same headlight adjustment problem when I had my fox ford level kit installed. They were suppose to but didn't. I did. Another installer, not GAS

Wow - day one and the tune is very noticeable - even in D mode it shits smoother and power is increased going around town. In S the pull around 20 - 50mph is greatly increased. Very impressed!

Ben, did you send in your paperwork for warranty. You would be our test for GAS to see if they accept them for warranty.
By the way, your truck is looking good.

To those in the SoCal area, I found a shop to do the install , and FP accepts for warranty.
Wild Pony Motorsport in Santa Clarita.
I did everything but the flash and the tech finished it /approx 15 min to flash. $52
For those that want them to do the whole thing , it will cost more obviously.
More than fair for time and paperwork involved. IMO

Ford dealerships here charging $450 to $500, no matter what they say, is friggin crazy.
I came an eyelash from doing it all,but still wanted the security of the warranty.
It is easy for anyone with basic computer skills. I got skills. :)

You would think it would be an easier process to find the right shop.

Well, I hope this thread can help others in SoCal and especially the LA area.
Done finally

Right on Dan, I'm glad you finally got it done, please report back with performance impressions. And you probably just earned these guys a fair amount of business, I'll look into them when I'm ready to flash.

After doing it, it feels like prior sport mode is now normal drive mode. The turbos kick in big time at high rpm, just the shifting is limited per D mode. S mode feels like a whole other beast...

How are you liking the tune? I think it's made a huge different in how the entire truck drives. So much smoother all around. But with the larger tires + tune, I've drop from 18.6 to 16.6 mpg. And that's if I really baby it. Sport mode it easily won't go above 12 :D

I agree
Really responsive in sport. I find the tune increases the fun factor considerably.
MPG ? LOL
Overall, a very good experience.
