  1. 1/4" spacer to mitigate tire rub

Thank you. Tires are clear of the crash bars though, appears they're hitting the control arm when there's load on the suspension.
  2. 1/4" spacer to mitigate tire rub

"a cheap thrill of big tires without doing the whole thing right" isn't quite my situation. I decided I wanted to go a bit bigger tire size from stock and researched options that would work with the Fox lifted I'd previously installed and no rub. From everything I gathered, some folks...
  3. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

I agree, I love my Ranger engine, especially with the Ford Performance tune installed. This is my 4th Ranger, from 1996 on, two 2/3Ls and a 3.0L (all manuals until the '19). Every single one has been bullet proof as you said. I still have my '99 3.0L I use as a back up, has 180K on it and runs...

Got it- I can certainly do the research for solid brands. thanks for taking the time! Missed these previous threads the first time I searched, and you've posted some great info in these awd. Thanks again. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/wheels-spacers-are-they-really-that-bad.18096/...
  5. 1/4" spacer to mitigate tire rub

Hi Folks- I've got a 2019 XLT with the Fox "Tuned by Ford Performance" 2.0 kit installed. Upgraded tire size recently from stock to P285/70R-17 Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 SL (I off road infrequently, maybe 2 or 3 times a summer camping, otherwise it's my wife's daily driver to work 5 miles...
  6. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Yeah, I reached out to NexGen through their email to get more information on their valve bodies they never replied, that was over a week ago. I’ll give him a call this week
  7. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Agreed on Nextgen. I actually called them to find out what options. 10K for the entry trans as you said, which is all I'd need, I rarely tow (maybe 3 times a year) and hardly ever 4x4. But... again... 10K... If I heard the rep correctly, it sounds like they sell a valve assembly that he said...
  8. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

ahhh- thanks for the input Duff. Wasn't aware. Appreciate it.
  9. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

This probably wont matter to anyone a squat, but had time to kill...
  10. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Thanks. I will go that route as others have suggested, once I get this issue addressed. I did have it changed at 25K, and then of course at 34K with the rebuild.
  11. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Ah damn, here it is. Bad memory on my part, I am remiss. As I was gathering all of my paperwork prior to picking up the truck, I found my “first” work order (the one I posted earlier in this thread was the second). I forgot I’d actually gone to the dealer the first time for the hard shift...
  12. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Steve- thanks for the meaningful well measured response. I will bring these points up when I pick the truck up later today. Appreciate your input.
  13. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Welp pretty much as I expected. Dropped the truck off yesterday to Downtown Ford here in Sacramento, who did the first rebuild in 2023 when it failed at 34K. They confirmed the hard shifting but oh so quickly let me know that warranty repair doesn't apply as it's out of warranty now (only 53K...
  14. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Daniel, when you say Ford Customer Service, do you mean Ford as a company or the Ford dealer who worked on yours? My God man, 3 times now?
  15. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

I only have the five years 60,000. I’m under the 60,000 but I’m over the five years. My only saving grace is the credit union I financed with in 2019 offered me a platinum warranty for an extra $1200 which is good until December 2026 and will cover all the transmission repair (minus the 250...
  16. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Hello - So May of 2 years ago, my 2019 had a complete transmission rebuild at ~34K, posted here: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/transmission-repair-work-order.25518/ Now, just about exactly 2 years later at ~53K, transmission is once again starting to hitch going into second, exactly...
  17. Wire plugged into positive battery terminal

Hey, unrelated and I know this post is old, just want to thank you for the great close up of the better terminal. I changed my battery out the other day and this morning truck wouldn't start. Found positive terminal was loose and realized I had switched the two lead pieces Hello- realize this...
  18. Transmission Replaced

I had mine changed out at 30K on the dot. It was clean.
