Ford Performance Tune Install SoCal

Purchased the tune from Levittown Ford in NY for 690.00, had it installed by Future Performance in Sacramento (where I live), a subdivision of the Future Ford group. Cost me about 300.00. No urge to search for a tune shop to get a better deal. Ford purchased, Ford installed, warranty still golden.

Immediate performance difference. Since I've been working from home for awhile, my wife's been driving it to her work. Day following the install, wife came home and said "Whoa..."

Love it. Absolutely love it. Getting the FP Fox Suspension kit installed Wednesday.

Piece by piece, bit by bit, getting there.

I found a local ASE certified mechanic, explained what I was trying to do and why I needed an ASE certified shop to keep my warranty. I explained and showed that it’s 50 state smog legal. After a few minutes of convincing, he told me to go ahead and install it and come back in when I’m done. Did it right there in the parking lot. When I went back in and told him it was all good I asked how much and he said whatever. Ended up costing me $60 (that’s what I had in cash on me at the time) and have a receipt from and ASE mechanic to keep the warranty. Couldn’t be happier as I preferred to physically do the install myself anyways. Win win in my book!

To those in the SoCal area, I found a shop to do the install , and FP accepts for warranty.
Wild Pony Motorsport in Santa Clarita.
I did everything but the flash and the tech finished it /approx 15 min to flash. $52
For those that want them to do the whole thing , it will cost more obviously.
More than fair for time and paperwork involved. IMO

Ford dealerships here charging $450 to $500, no matter what they say, is friggin crazy.
I came an eyelash from doing it all,but still wanted the security of the warranty.
It is easy for anyone with basic computer skills. I got skills.

You would think it would be an easier process to find the right shop.


Well, I hope this thread can help others in SoCal and especially the LA area.

In the paperwork that came with the Procal, under warranty there is an email address, Send pics of your documentation.
