Ford Pass Update

FWIW, I changed my oil Sunday and updated on the main site with no problems. Ford Pass shows that entry today.

Maybe you need to be on the same wifi as the truck. I hadn't thought of this but I realized that my Ford Pass updates immediately when I'm at the Quicklane using the dealership's wifi.

I just got it for IOS, if you (swipe up and right) to close out open screens, the Ford Pass App will reopen as a new refreshed page. In case you are having issues of not getting all the tabs to show data.
I had to refresh mine when first opened - it froze up
FYI: The IOS Version is 5.0.0 for the New App.
As someone stated above - I do not see a way to (Refresh) Location and Health, like the previous version - Swipe Down & Hold
I am sure its available we just have to figure out how - but now we need to monitor how often the Ford Pass - Checks for Updates on the Truck, is it going to be More / Less / Or Same

I am talking about that startling Waste Gate Actuator - Powering while you are in the garage and under the truck when it does it.

Just got off the phone with Ford. They have been calling me weekly because some features in the new version do not work with one of my vehicles.

I inquired about the vehicle refresh function and they say that feature is gone and probably not coming back. As far as being able to see your vehicle warranty info, they want you to go to ford.com now. They did not have an answer for being able to add a service entry in the app.

What a pathetic update this is…

I called last week when app was permanently updated & asked about the warranty info. I was told no longer on app for now and maybe they will add stuff later. It is not on ford.com either, I logged on while on phone with them & it’s not there. I was told they can see it in their system but no way for us to view it anymore. Gave me number to call ford protect & they can email me info but I have the info I just liked seeing it in the app.

5.0.1 came out today (ios) that fixes functional issues some users were having with the features they decided to leave in the app. Nothing added back to the app though so it’s still a POS.

Been trying to add a record via the website every day since I did the work on 5/27. Called ford today and after 6 people and 2 hours I was told not only is the "Add Record" gone from the Ford app, it does not work on the website either, then why is the feature still there??...... Consistent inconstancy from Ford.

Mines apparently broke. I don’t use it that much but the last time I got a notification was 10/19/23

I hate this new update and the app is useless now. It shows my vehicle is on while it's parked in the garage so you can't remote start it as it thinks it's already on! ?‍ , I got gas 4 days ago and it's still showing the old range and the old OD reading.

I left a 1 star review on the App Store and the responded wanting me to send them all my info so they can look into it. Of course there's been zero response but judging from all the bad reviews on the App Store I'm sure they have their hands full.

For anyone with ios, try the latest update (5.0.2). Some have reported this update fixing most of the issues. The app still sucks with all the depricated features...

My wifes '19 Edge has showed her car parked at a place we had dinner at about 3 weeks ago. She usually parks such that our wifi is slightly out of range, and her Sync has not updated in a long time. Today I told her to park further up the driveway and facing the house. The wifi showed 2 bars. So I am hoping updated Sync and app will finally link up.

When this happens in the Ranger, rebooting the telematics module (modem) often fixes it. You may want to try that in your Edge. Find the fuse that feeds the telematics module and pull it for 30 seconds and then replace it. Your owner's manual should show the fuse location.

V 5.0.2 on Android here now. Seems to work fine. Odd that they removed the fuel gage, but it does show the range remaining which is more or less the same thing, in practice.
