This is just so bad. Unfortunately I believe most people won't care/ won't know about this & will buy a Ford.
Yrs ago I wanted to buy a Focus wagon but the dealership did not want to
come down in price, so I bought a Suzuki wagon, which I did not want to
buy. This ended up being a very good deal, it lasted 18 yrs.

This right here is why I started looking for an alternative. Between already being pushed to MY22 and the uncertainty of Fords level of flakiness, ultimately not knowing when (or now IF I would see it in 22) led me to pull the trigger on the tremor. I reserved in the first 10 hours (5am on 7/14/20), and to be absolutely nowhere with it while others who haven’t waited 6 months are driving theirs, and now Ford just screwed all the little guys because they felt kickback from the big guys who were only worried about the ADM’s. It’s disgusting.

I love what the owner of Granger Ford is doing. They also own a Jeep dealership right next door and are offering their order holders a Jeep instead at 4% under invoice. lol

Buy a Wrangler/Gladiator at 4% Under Invoice – if you are tired of the Bronco ride, we can offer you a Wrangler/Gladiator purchase at 4% under invoice and have it delivered to our store in 60-90 days. 2022 Wrangler and Gladiator ordering opened yesterday. Email [email protected] and we’ll be happy to send you a quote.
Zach and hIs crew are definitely a stand up bunch. Complete transparency and upfront about everything. That was another factor in why I was originally drawn to travel 500 miles for my bronco purchase….. and Ford just shit all over them.

Screw em. Buy a jeep JL or Gladiator. I got screwed out of my ordered 2017 Focus RS allocation by ford doing the same thing back in 2017

long story short, I ended up buying another brand new RS and it was plagued with head gasket issues with only 2000 miles. ?

Ford really just screwed Bronco order holders again! They put out their new allocation formula yesterday for the '22 year and it's basically screwing over every small dealership that has a Bronco reservation and rewarding big dealerships. Ford initially said the EVERY order would be filled by reservation timestamp but then the larger dealerships complained and Ford changed to an allocation system.

In other words a small town dealership like Granger Ford in IA where me and Jim @wanted33 bought ours who has 1075 orders will only get 150-220 at best filed in 2022. At this rate I'd be lucky to see mine until 2024, right in time for the next Gen Bronco!

I know I've said I'm a huge Ford fanboy but honestly Ford can go #@!& themself if this is how they're going to treat their customers and their smaller dealers. This is what they want to do going forward, a reservation based system where you have to special order your vehicle and only have limited dealer stock. I know other launches might not be as disastrous as the Bronco launch as there was a 25 year hiatus but it's still a BS move by Ford to change the rules to benefit their big time dealers instead of HONORING their original agreement. There are a lot of unhappy Bronco order holders now and I hope Ford gets an earful in the coming weeks, probably won't do any good though. Sorry for the long rant but it's not the news I wanted to hear this Saturday morning. /rant over....for now :sunglasses:
Although I like Fords and other brands of things, customer support (and dealer support ) also plays a part in what I buy. I made a conscious decision several years ago that in the blink of an eye I will walk away from a brand if there's even an inkling of underhanded business and unfairness. Cases in point, I dumped Comcast aka exfinity for Metronet fiber and couldn't be happier. That deal got even better when I put up an antenna and cut the cable portion to streaming. I've also done the same thing to cell carriers when they refused to offer the exact same "deal" for existing customers whose contract had expired as they do for a new customer. (Humph now they do just that) I've dumped cellular one, Sprint when they bought and butchered Nextel. T mobile, and Verizon. After Verizon we went with At&t. When that contract expired we went back to Verizon for the best deals and plans (4 phones) plus we got in on an included deal adding espn+, Disney+, HBO max and Hulu all for less than what we paid At&t. I've long been done watching out for corporations. karma is b!$&*!

Straight from Ford.com. The first Q&A shows that Ford said they were going by timestamp and no dealers will receive stock until reservation orders are filled. Nice of Ford to stick to 125,000 Bronco customers. Credit to North7 @B6G

I’m not defending Ford by any means. The reality of this is because of executive decisions. The guys in the trenches building them are in the same boat with us all. It all comes from the top down. Now to add more insult to injury, see all of the container ships docked off shore by the 100’s all over the country. Bet a lot of car parts are on them including the needs chip modules to move built inventory waitin for them.

Won’t be long before the fans in the stadiums across the country change their chants from F Joe Biden to F Ford Motor Co. ?
It's already started my friend. :)

I see a lot of post where reservation holders are canceling and just buying a different model Ford . This of course only rewards Ford and the dealers as Ford still makes a sale and the dealer has a Bronco to mark up . Win/Win for them . I have a 7/20/20 res for a 2Dr Badlands and went by my dealer yesterday (one of the larger ones in Alabama) and the Bronco specialist was trying to push a 4DR soft top change if I want my Bronco sooner . I told him nope , that if I couldn't get the Bronco I wanted within a reasonable time that I would just trade the Ranger I bought to tie me over in on a Jeep . Kinda regret even buying the Ranger now . I should have went ahead and bought the Jeep I looked at and rode up in it . At least I'd be driving the Jeep instead of my Ranger being down for a month waiting on a part :(
Kenny, I told the wife today that Ford better be happy I bought my Ranger when I did. If I would have known this would happen I'd be driving a different brand.

To be f'd over by a different profit centered large corporation.
They are all the same . Ford just has the current hot commodity.
First model year is always plagued with problems anyway.

I always try and stay away from first year models and my first year Tacoma had it's share of problems. Besides my '16 Tacoma I've owned Fords since the mid 90's and never remember any disastrous launches. It started with the Explorer and now the Bronco so I don't have high hopes it won't continue going forward. Again this has nothing to do with parts constraints but they way Ford handled this.

Now my '16 Tacoma was a brand new redesign and I ordered it in late September 2015 and took delivery just after Christmas. Not to defend Toyota but I've never seen a messed up launch from them.

Yep. Loved my 95 pu. Loved my 86 FJ60. But they both rusted away. Almost never see either in the wild anymore.

Dave, I am so curious why did you buy from a smaller dealer in Iowa in the first place ? You live in metro Phoenix. Was it a friend who owns it ? Are you from there originally ?

Trying to talk you off the ledge here, you have been going on and on about your Bronco for years. I know you still love the vehicle.

From a detached view of this, you are so mad at the dealer allocation that you are willing to consider buying a Jeep instead, your loyalty to the local dealer surpasses your love of the Bronco.

My suggestion is to be selfish, find a Bronco wherever you can find it in the US buy a plane ticket and drive it home. Surely there are some orphans or buyer back out transactions somewhere in the US. I don’t know just assuming so.

Whatever you will buy you will keep for awhile so don’t make a snap decision over emotion, just my 2 cents.

I notice that since that announcement to change the way orders are being filled, Ford has also changed the FAQ questions page, removing the one that says "orders are filled in the order they are received" from the launch page. I'm still digging around to see if it's removed altogether. I smell a fat class action suit coming Ford's way over this, both from dealerships and customers. It appears this shift isn't unique to Bronco; most of the various Ford forums are talking about the same thing - orders getting filled out of order and not in the priority Ford has always given orders of various types.
