AI is already causing more trouble than it’s worth in some areas. Ford underestimated the value of these engineers so now Ford has to hire back over 350 experienced engineers to fix AI’s mistakes. Who didn’t see this coming?

I know a very senior engineer that was let go along with 4 others from a US tech hardware company once they were bought by a VC company. Very specialised stuff. Within 2 years they offered him a ridiculous amount to go back, he couldn't say no. Stayed 2 years and then went out on his own.
