So I know on the older Rangers you could pull the fog light relay and bend or cut off one of the terminals so the fog lights would stay on with the high beams.
Has anyone figured out if something like that is possible with the 5gs? I've looked and searched here but no luck.
Also, I've been searching for a file to cut the vinyl letters for the dash, I noticed that others have mentioned that they got the from a company and talk of the tailgate lettering but I'd like the file to cut it out at home myself, plus it would be nice to just have the file.

That's awesome, I've been looking into forscan, seems to be free software, besides buying the obd2-usb connector right? where can I find the spreadsheet for the modules and what to change? I'm new to the forscan playground but I've watched a few videos and I'm liking it lol

Newest version spells our what you are doing. So pretty easy to poke around and not break anything like the first user's and needing a breakdown of the codes.

Save the as built files so you can bring it back if needed.. but it's clear on what does what.

That's good to know, I appreciate it, looks like all I need to buy is the obd2-usb adapter and I'm good to go

I have this done (Bambi mode) on my 19 Ranger...and in PA technically it is illegal for your driving/fog lights to stay on when your high beams are on. But I can't imagine being pulled over for it.

The only reason I know is my son is a GM tech with Pa State Inspection License and he told me.

In most states this is illegal I believe. In Texas I certain it is also illegal.

What is the point of having fogs on with highbeams? Is it a want to look cool thing? If my brights are on, I am outside city limits and on country roads (I am not driving a toyota and have no need to blind other people) and need to see further and wider. Fogs are for low visibility weather in which highbeams would literally blind you and the oncoming vehicle. What am I missing?

I live on a lot of back roads and I also Diode Dynamic SS3 Max White lights and on back roads having them all on is fantastic! You can see far with the highs and way out on the sides with the SS3's. Not sure why anyone would have their brights on while driving in city limits or with any oncoming traffic.

Driving with LED highbeams and light bars is all the rage here in illinois, city or rural.

Less of a stab at you and more at the stupid residents that live here.

I wish I knew why people drove with their brights on in and around Houston. Most of the streets are so well lit you don’t even need low beams. My last truck didn’t have tint on it so it was more noticeable and for some reason a majority of them were Toyotas and civics.

Regular bulbs are burnt out and Houston PD won't stop you for running highbeams. That is my guess anyway. I am over on the west side of town.
