Every time I beat my best in Fuelly my distance on that next tank fillup shows the new record too. My best to date is 440 miles for a full tank estimated

This is usually my average 420-430 using 91 octane. But for some reason on our trip I was getting crazy good gas mileage and when I filled up in St George, UT mine showed 461. It was mostly all highway driving and averaging 80 mph.
When I first got my truck I made a very similar trip from CA to Mt. Rushmore. Wish I could see those numbers again - 500. Maybe that stretch is just a good one

Then all the performance mods started plus the lift and tires. And my driving style, combined with idling, towing, A/C, ASS delete, E20

This a typical non-towing tank for me during summer gas season. (Probably about 70% Highway, 10% Interstate, and 20% City)

I'm not entirely sure what it bases the estimate off of when I refill, but it normally says 440ish when I'm driving like this.

I've had it say much less after filling up in the winter when I was pulling my little box trailer up and down Interstate 75.

I always use 87 octane.

That is a good stretch out that way but this fill up was when we were in UT. I'm tuned, larger tires and lifted and I never use ACC and my ASS has been deleted since day one. So the only thing I was doing different than my normal daily drive is way more highway driving. But as you know there are a lot of elevation changes in CO,SD & UT so it had me puzzled. lol

when I averaged 460+ per tank it was from Maryland to your state Arizona Scorpion made that trip twice.

I think I would need a lot more freeway mile content at less than 70mph for my average mileage to yield a 400+ mile range at fill-up.

With my average trip makeup, my average MPG is between 20.x and 21.x.

Which is fine for me as I came from a truck with an average of about 13.5 MPG.

I routinely see 675km or so on my cluster after a fill up.
that's 419 miles i believe.

I don't pay enough attention to see if i actually get that far since I'm not a mileage nazi.
in the winter sadly, I rarely see mid 500's. You can almost see it real time when the winter/summer blends change at the pumps.
RP. You get a different Canadian Ranger than me? The highest I get after filling up is 550km or so.

Peter, try easing up on the pedal and staying out of the boost especially from a dead stop. That's where you'll see the the increase in mpg when trying to ease up to speed rather than mashing the pedal. Also if you do a lot of stop and go city driving that just kills it right there and there's not much you can do about that.
