and remembe that you have 60 days to Get a full refund -- time to think about it..... and even after that, you can get a pro-rated refund. its a bet most will lose but some will "win" by guessing correctly and having a failure that the warranty covers - again most of us will lose but it gives me the peace of mind to keep my truck for several more years I went with the 8/100k $100 deductible one so hopefully Ill keep driving my truck for another 6 years with no worries about something major happening. - its a risk tolerance thing to me the $1100 is a worthwhile betI sold my 2018 Escape after reading about chronic problems with coolant intrusion into the cylinders on the 1.5L EcoBoost4 (not the 2020 & newer 1.5L 3cyl). Those that are out of 5/60 factory warranty are paying $4-$9000 for a new short or long block.
Whether you buy a Ford plan or a third party extended warranty, It is always a good idea to buy it while the vehicle is new. They are cheaper than if you wait until either the 3/36 or 5/60 factory warranty runs out.
