I was wondering if anyone here who has installed the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 can help me. I bought this cover for a variety of reasons, but one was that it seemed to be easy to install and easy to take off if needed.

I'm having trouble installing the bulkhead rail at the front of the bed. It has those rubber "well nuts" but I can't get them to stay. They just pull out when I try and tighten the nuts. I'm obviously missing something, but if someone can take a picture or give me any clue how those should be installed I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Nevermind - I figured it out - I was putting it in backwards. Once I figured it out it was easy. Took all of 5 or 10 minutes.

Here is what it looks like - I like it! Never had a tonneau cover before:

Glad you figured it out, the shop installed mine. I,ll be taking it off next week to put my bike in the back, but I,ll likely leave the bulkhead there if possible. Great cover, stays nice and dry in there.

You don't need to remove that bulkhead piece with the cover, just the cover itself, which is really easy.

Question - do you see light in the front corners of yours when you look under the cover? I'm not sure if I moved it too far back or not. I can see light in both front corners.

I do see some light in the corners of mine. It was installed by a local specialty shop. I haven't had a chance to remove it and inspect it. I am thinking about contacting xtang and see if they will maybe send me some foam to fill those gaps.

I would appreciate seeing a picture of the front edge and back edge of someone's install. It is raining tonight and I went out and checked and it is leaking a little bit on one of the front corners. It looks like it might be set too far back on the bed.

I had the same experience, but I figured it out after a few minutes lol.
I’ve had mine on the truck since last month and been happy with it so far.
Also, I do see light come through on those corners.(top left and right sides of the bulkhead)
The design of the cover and front weather seals should prevent water/ rain from coming in.
Here’s a few pics of after install.

Now that I think of it, I was in the shop hanging out with the guys during install and they did stuff some extra foam in that area, but I didnt think much of it at the time.

Ive been through automatic car washes, hand spray washes and lots of rain and so far its leak free. Dust from tailgate is bad, but I have a seal I need to install that I hope will help with that.

I really like it. It isn't 100% waterproof, but it does pretty good. I just got a tailgate seal to help keep the dust out of the bed.

I know this is a an old thread, but, did you have trouble getting the drivers side wellnut to hold ?
It has an oval hole in the bulkhead and I can’t get the damn thing to hold. Passenger side holds great.

As I recall, once I put the wellnuts in the right way, I don't remember having any issues. But it was a long time ago, so I might have blacked out that from my memory. :)
