Its not the end until we know the details. Country of origin means all the pieces parts. engine parts could be sourced in Mexico, shipped to Cleveland, and assembled/built/tested in the Cleveland engine plant.

I would be shocked if the entire engine is shipped from MX.

Mine has Cleveland Engine Plant printed by Ford on the Engine.
It had a label which said Country of Origin Mexico mandated by some technicality by the government?
What are the criteria? What are the facts? Why can't someone at Ford or the government answer such a simple question?
Some even claim the engine is not even a Ford Engine.
Some claim it was built in Valentia,Spain.

The paper is gone without verification.
The label remains.
Mine is a genuine Ford built engine assembled in Cleveland, Ohio until factual information convinces me otherwise.

Fact is...
My Ranger is a genuine Ford from bumper to bumper and is labeled so on both ends.
Parts are a combination of in house and contracted parts built to Ford standards and sourced domestically and worldwide, the truck is then "Made in USA" as a uniquely American product.

From what I can tell without my Lawyereeze to English dictionary handy, engine parts came from Mexico and assembled/built in Cleveland.

It might not be rocket science for a lawyer, but there is a whole lot of legalese in that document and typical government document doublespeak. I still don't understand it completely, but if I do understand it, I think the theory that the engine parts were made in Mexico and assembled at the plant in Cleveland is probably accurate.
