Driven it 4 times since replacing the DPFE sensor last Friday. It’s running much smoother so I’m pretty confident that fixed the problem. Only issue now is I can’t get the CEL to clear… The first drive I took, I expected it to be on because I drove the truck with the sensor unplugged to diagnose whether it was really the DPFE that was the culprit. It ran way better with the sensor unplugged, so I went ahead and replaced it.
I did a reset (unplugged battery for 20 mins) and cleared the engine light when I got home and thought everything was good. The second time I drove it, CEL came back and hasn’t cleared since. My ford app is saying a fault is detected with one of the engine emission sensors. I figured the truck just needed to recognize the new sensor and adjust but I’ve driven it 150 miles since replacing and CEL hasn’t cleared. Thoughts?
