I got a new DPFE sensor, I can't get the one-use hose clamps off the sensor. I usually use my big end nips and twist them off, but I can't get any leverage.
I slid up the lower re-usable clamps but I can't get leverage to get the hoses off, I twisted them on the hose barb, they do spin but I can't pull the hoses off.
How do you guys do this?
I am now 67 yo, maybe I aged out for jobs like this?
Thanks

Thanks, he bought a sensor with new hoses on it already, so no help on getting off those single use clamps.
The bottom end of the hoses should be simple but they just don't want to slide off the tubes, and yes, I got the spring clamps out of the way.

Can you use a utility knife to put a slit at the hose end to make it easier to slip the hose off?

Yea they’re a PIA to get apart and not much room to get your hands in there with snips. I used a Dremel with a cut wheel on it and cut the clamp at the pinch.

I was having an issue with it on acceleration it would feel like the egr was opening and closing. No change after replacing the DPFE but I figured it would since there was water in it when I shook it in my hand And my truck don’t even have 12000 miles on it..
And like we all know the dealer can’t replicate the problem.
