A OBDII bluetooth dongle and a phone App (or Tablet) called Torque, probably less than $30 total still, I have been using mine for a few years now and love it!
What he said...in my case, I use IOS BlueFusion + Ford 2019 Ranger pids + iPad Mini

Without knowing the code, we cannot steer you in the right direction. This code reader is commonly recommended and isn't the most expensive, but also isn't the cheapest at $80. It will read other codes, such as transmission and ABS, as well as read live data.

On a side note, what month/year did you have your transmission replaced? I had the transmission in my 19 Ranger replaced last February at 88k miles. I am hoping your replacement might be indicative on what I can expect out of my new one

So the code reader is telling me that it is a:
PO4FO
EVAP System High Load Purge Line "A" Performance

Fix:

Replace Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Canister
Purge Control Valve
