i know, Right?
I mean I find that hard to believe.

The vast majority of the car buying public has no clue what badges belong where on what models.

Hell even, some forum members here didn't originally notice it was gone.

25-30 years ago lack of badges may have been a sign of accident repair and thus maybe lowered value if a person didn't know enough for further inspection.

Nowadays we have Carfax, I know it isn't foolproof, and debadged vehicles are a thing. Plus anybody with a little knowledge can tell factory paint/fenders/bolts.

If somebody wants to pay me $3 less for a badge I took off that's fine. If they think I'm hiding damage and walk, fine too. I don't buy my vehicles for resale value. By the time I'm done with them they're usually worn out.

I remove as many emblems that are stuck on paint as possible because I hate cleaning polish from around them. Less crap to hit with DA and eat up expensive foam pads.
definitely agree.....same with the 4x4 stickers...always get that off colored edge and look like cookie......
