I installed Eibach rear shocks on my tailgate so I get a workout every time I need to open it.

Between that and Porn Hub I'm getting ripped forearms.

I'm not sure why it always comes back to the damper but I have to share why I love mine. My initial reason for getting a damper is that my neighbor has one on his Tundra and when we played golf he opened my tailgate several times and just let it slam open. This bothered me because the truck was brand new so I got a damper. Several months later I was camping w my son and our camp trailer. The trailer jack sits up pretty high and will hit the tailgate dead center if you open while the trailer is attached. My son went to get something out of the truck and opened the tailgate. I saw it coming down and the damper allowed me enough time to jump in and catch it before it left a large dent.

Chuck Norris was in that Tacoma commercial a couple years back. So, ummm, now what?
Well the Tacoma comes from the factory with a damper so that answers that question. lol ?

First 2 mods done on my new Ranger STX 4x4. This truck is just a runabout farm truck for me, so didn't need a fully loaded truck, just a good honest work truck. This one fits the bill plus still gives me a bit of luxury here and there. So far, I really like this truck.
I did a couple easy mods:
1. Tailgate assist strut. Very easy and great quality for money
2. Platinum door sill kit. Easy stick on, looks great. However, one gripe...the front sill plates don't seem to have a protective coat on them, so there are some minor scratches from shipping. The first set I was sent were really bad. I sent those back thinking they were defective with no protective coating on the front plates (rear plates had the protection). So I give these a solid 3 out of 5.
In the wings...I have the trailer brake controller standing by, going on this weekend.

I'm not familiar with the door sill kits for the T5 Ranger. Recalling similar kits in the past (Mustang) had illuminated door sill plates as an option - my 2020 Chrysler 300 has illuminated door sill plates on the front door openings. I optioned out my Lariat with exactly what I wanted - a lengthy list.
