80mph on the highway, open windows.
thats my dust removal process
Yep! That's how I "dusted" my TJ. Take the top and doors off and you get a real good clean. When/IF my Ranger ever gets here, I might take a little more time to keep it clean, since it will be my daily driver.

Oh and yes, I'm a lady. Sometimes. Mostly when I'm in my classroom. ;)

I prefer a quick detailer spray and clean microfiber.

Thats the route I go also. Quick detailer spray and one or two fresh microfiber's quickly get the job done.

If its in between washes then I'll do a modified waterless wash. Soak a microfiber in a waterless wash. Ring until damp then clean a panel and dry with a fresh cloth and detailing spray. Rotate cloths out until done. I usually use about 10 to do a quick wash.

I've never been a fan. They WILL give your clear coat the fine scratches that you can see when the light is right. It's harder to see on white and silver paint, but more prevalent on the darker colors. If you're not one who is OCD about that kind of stuff, then they can serve their purpose.

Hey Guys (and ladies… do we have any ladies here, lol)..

Do any of y’all use the “duster” for the outside …?

If so, cotton or microfiber on your baby?

What about inside? For the dust that builds up before / the next car wash?

Was looking at this one for the outside version .. anyone else have other suggestions?

Honestly, don’t use any duster. All your doing is moving contaminates on your paint, you need to lubricate. Get a quick detailer and some microfibers. Better than any duster will ever Be.

I still use a Cali Duster from 20 years ago...it's a rare black version I found at Target...if I'm at home, I'll use my garage compressor to blast dust off inside and out...

You beat me to it! I used one 20+ years ago, on my Black/Silver Pontiac Fiero GT and it never looked bad, but I definitely would not use one on my Ranger nowadays... If you use Adam's Detail Spray and a Double Soft Microfiber Towel instead, it will work much better in the end...

I've been using them for 20+ years and never had any scratches. The key is to not let the dust/dirt build up and to also run it lightly over the surface only using the tips of the duster. I had a dark blue Vette and now my Ranger and there's not one scratch on either. Having a good coat of wax (now Graphene) is key too so maybe that's why because I'm diligent about keeping it protected.

Don’t these leave swirl marks on the paint? I don’t use them. Generally I just wash it every two weeks.

Yes I hate feeding the beast too. Just do a search for California Duster and I'm sure there's another online retailer or local parts store/detail shop that has them.
Lol used to love them … then they got too big, and then it ended up being an issue when I didn’t get things, it was like a 21 day turn around talking to someone in a foreign country that said I didn’t buy off Amazon, but their “3rd party marketplace “ ????
