I have a 23 and starting around 12,000 miles I gained a noticeable clunk in the rear end/rear driveshaft when coming to a stop and from normal/easy start. More noticeable in warmer days/months but an obvious clunk. Been to dealer (30 miles away) 3 times for this and they 'found nothing' . . but it is still there going on 22,000 miles.

Definitely pull the drive line and lube the slip joint. Had that issue with a Ranger I previously had. Transmission shop told me it needs rebuilt. A ripoff it could have been.
I was working on the furnace for a Ford mechanic and he told me about the slip joint issue.

Bet a beer and 🐔 wings it’s the slip joint.
That’s a bet I’d love to win but I’m pretty sure I’d be doing the buying.

I guess I’d just have to buy enough for two. :D
