Driveshaft, rear end 'clunk'?

I have a 23 and starting around 12,000 miles I gained a noticeable clunk in the rear end/rear driveshaft when coming to a stop and from normal/easy start. More noticeable in warmer days/months but an obvious clunk. Been to dealer (30 miles away) 3 times for this and they 'found nothing' . . but it is still there going on 22,000 miles.

I bet if you lube your slip joint, it goes away. Some are practically bone-dry from the factory.

Definitely pull the drive line and lube the slip joint. Had that issue with a Ranger I previously had. Transmission shop told me it needs rebuilt. A ripoff it could have been.
I was working on the furnace for a Ford mechanic and he told me about the slip joint issue.

Just FYI. Been one week since I lubed the slip joint on the blue beauty. Clunk, slam, bump , “hey did someone just rear end me?!” Is completely gone. Week of driving and zero signs. Well worth the time and effort it took to lube it.
