Just finished up the drawer system for my 2020 Ranger. I'm pleased with the result. A combination of 3/4" square tube lattice with 3/4" pressure treated plywood means no discernable deviation when I jump around on the center of it.
The drawer is also suspended, and waterproof on the top so that I don't have to worry about the contents getting wet. I found some industrial bins (for warehouse shelf organizing) which fit absolutely perfectly in the drawer. (Still waiting for some to be delivered).

Lots of folks make these with the latching mechanism inside the handle (and thus in the drawer), but I moved it off to the side because I didn't want the mechanism inside the drawer, and I wanted a way to hold the drawer open as well as closed.

The whole thing bolts to the stock tie-down holes, so no actual mods to the box were necessary.

All things considered, it works well. and the total cost was well under $500 Canadian.
The 3/4" pressure treated plywood was the most expensive item at $100 per sheet for 2 sheets, followed by a can of Herculiner for the top at $60 for one spray can.

Next project is a lid (kind of like a Diamonback lid). I just got some custom designed steel components back from the laser cutter for that, and am looking forward to working on it when I get back from my canoe trip.

Let me know what you think :)

You killed two birds with one stone, you made a nice tray and took some of the suspension rake out of your Ranger.
