I just received my CV Fab catted down pipe for my 2023 ranger. Plan on installing it tomorrow. Any tips or advice? Tools to make it easier? I’ll be doing it on jack stands in my garage. Thanks in advance for any help!

Nope not me but post pictures if you can. I bet once the stock one is out it will be easier see how it goes. Stock cat and heat shielding is huge.

Good looking downpipe. Curious on how that sounds. Send a video once you're all done.

My only tip for that is to get yourself a flex head gear wrench. I think all the bolts down there are 15mm. Taking the downpipe off is a b!tc#...

Let the engine run for a minute to heat up those bolts and make them come out easier; of course don't burn yourself though.

Hello,
Started working on removing mine last night! My friend started his this morning. I finished removing mine last night and I helped him finish removing and installing his today. My pipe not due on till this Friday. Figured I get a jump on mine.
His arrived last Friday..
The install is easy! The removing is a pain in the a$$!
He jacked his truck up and removed his front tire. I left mine on the ground with tire still on.
I used a 1/2 inch rachett and 6 point extended socket to remove the 3 flange bolts from the bottom up. You will need a long extention to reach from bottom of truck. Both our trucks have less than 10,000 miles. So not to hard to break loose bolts. I use PB Blaster and warmed up truck. One you get The old pipe out, the new will go in easy and more room to work. One problem is the mounting bracket for the new pipe does not line up close to the hole in the Trans! I had read that on the forum somewhere before. There is a ytube video where there was an install done and he had the same problem. My buddy cut his off because the mount was to far off. I will see how far off mine is when I get it. Other than that, take your time. Bolts are little challenging to get too!

Forgot to mention,
You will need about 3 ft extension and swivel on the end.

Just finished this install. The bracket lined up perfect on mine. As said removing the original is a pain.

One problem I ran into is I have the fitzstick installed and had to remove it to get to lower o2 connector. But worth the hassle.

I have the Gibson dual exhaust kit and really didn't notice much change in exhaust sound. Maybe a small increase but nothing annoying for sure.

Just got mine installed yesterday! for sure the removal was a pain!
My box was beat up when I received it. I was missing the bolt for the bracket. (must have fell out from the hole in the box!)
Badranger came over to give me a hand with mine going back in.
He gave me bolt since he did not use it on his! I am just glad they didn't loose
the defouler!
My bracket was off about 1/4 inch. I used a touch to make the adjustment to bend the arm so the bolt hole would line up.
Badranger came over to give me a hand with mine going back in.
My install seems a little easier! I could get to all the flange bolts whereas on his
it was harder to get too. We also had a big problem with his hanger. It was off so far, he decided to cut his mount plate off for the time being. Also we did not have access to the right tools at the time to make it work. Going to figure out how to fix her later.
Although both trucks are 23's seems like there were very small differences between the two. We both agree that his was tighter to work on.

This makes me glad I'm having a shop install the downpipe and the exhaust I got today. I didn't want to deal with removing the factory downpipe. I don't have a full day to dedicate to the install and I knew I was going to run into some issues.

Happy to hear it went well!
