Have you heard his latest tirade? Now GDI engines cause cancer. He picks on Toyota mainly, but hits GDI engines in general. Pretty hilarious actually if you can stand his yelling and arm flailing.

I'd almost tolerate him just to see what argument he can make for that - but most likely he doesn't even believe it, he is just being sensational to get more clicks and views....

Yes I must admit that one week he likes a brand, the next week, they're going broke, then the next week, they're back on top again with some secret new technology that will trump the competition, that he never exactly explains in his clip, or will take 30 years to realise.

3. He broadcasts from his front driveway instead of an actual auto shop. What’s wrong with that picture?

Well he can't broadcast from inside his garage - ever looked at the stuff in there! Maybe his missus should yell at him, to clean out his F...'n shed ,and then he could broadcast from in there like all the other you tubers.

I always do 100 percent of what he says. Thats why i drive a 90s Toyota camry. I am only on this forum to see how you suckers complain about bed height, transmissions, gas in oil, lugging, leaf springs, crash bars, tailgate strut assists and the like. Hahaha

My toyota is 40 years old and drives like a 20 uear old car hahaha

i think at some point Scotty was likely a good trustworthy neighborhood mechanic. I had a couple of those as a kid. If I couldnt do it, id push the old truck down the street to one of the two older guys that would do repairs in the drive ways. After Scotty got on youtube Im sure they started pressing him to add more hype and more shock value etc. for views. his take on the 2.3 is simply wrong.

You forgot lean to the left, and mis aligned panels, and according to Scotty a 1990's Celica would be an acceptable alternative ride for you.

I’m certainly glad I’m not the only one who thinks he ain’t nothing but a click bait producing wh***. I loved how he states GM trucks are trash because they use plastic tailgate handles but forgets that all other makes including his beloved Toyota uses plastic tailgate handles as well since the early 2000s. He was awfully silent about the recall on the tacomas when they left the factory without differential fluid or rotting frames on several of their models but I digress. All makes have their problems and their fans but I certainly hope no one actually believes this quack when he spews out his disinformation. At least TFL shows some tangible and usable data, even if some of the stuff they share opinions on seem to be bought from the company that provides the vehicle. Just my opinion though

We just love to torture ourselves. Besides there is the hint of curiosity and fascination that accompanies the thought that one clip might just produce something useful. (I know, a famous genius once defined something similar as a sign of insanity)

He is weirdly entertaining - sometimes... sometimes he is too much... and I agree with some of what he says. Then other stuff has me wondering if he maybe used a bit too much brake cleaner that day.

That said:

If I had to pick Scotty or my local dealership to diagnose a problem.

Scotty; id just bring some ear plugs; and the military half destroyed my hearing as it is.....
