DIY: Adding the 12V Power Outlet Option in the Bed

just getting around to installing my BILKO kit and ran into a question. If I have no plans at the moment for the pigtail, can i just ziptie it hidden near the factory connector?

Sorry for the late reply. Yeah you can just ziptie it for now. I would wrap end with electrical tape or shrink insulation to keep it from accidentally shorting out on anything.

Has anyone installed this on the right (passenger) side of the bed? I've got the Ford kit, and would prefer the outlet on that side, but not sure if longer wiring would work or how to run it.

The ‘plug and play’ plug is on the drivers side.

Yes, they will clear the top of the toolbox.

can you tell me the Ford part number for the plug that go under the bed? I want to make sure I order the correct part. I wish shipping to Canada wouln't be that expensive...

Is there a fuse for this circuit? I have no power at the factory plug. Manual shows fuse #17 controls - Auxiliary power point - rear cargo area - There is no fuse in #17 just an open hole. Key on, key off, truck running no power

apparently I'm missing a fuse, put a jumper in the empty slot and we have power.

I'm a little slow and can't find the part number for the auxiliary power plug in this thread. Has anyone posted it? I'd like to try my hand at a custom harness for that bed plug. My Ford dealer parts system seems pretty hopeless but it should be a common plug. Thanks

It’s in the “size” option on the kits. There’s normal and molle panel options. Only for the advanced and split harnes
