Really we're living in one of the west times to buy anything right now.
Fixed it for ya.

I'm betting that in this instance they didn't even use pawns. The GMC dealership could've ordered them under their own name. Once titled a vehicle is now used.

For GMC it might have been easier but remember at first there were no dealer orders only customer ones. They were supposed to follow this model until all customer orders were fill but we know how well that worked out.

For sure. I was just pointing out that non Ford dealerships could've just ordered them from the Ford dealership accross the street. Could even order from a "partner dealership" as many of these dealerships are corporate owned.

Also, I remember reading somewhere, I think it was B6G, about dealership employees and their Bronco orders. I'm sure some unscrupulous dealerships could "convince" their employees to order one or two for them.

OOOOOORRRRRRR....

people are taking advantage of the market and making a short term sacrifice to sell their Broncos for 10s of thousands of dollars in profit....
I agree. I don't see that this dealership family has any Ford dealerships, it appears they're all Buick/GMC. I'd guess that they ordered them from a Ford dealership and are trying to flip them.

The municipality I work for had a large order of Ford trucks in place before all this silliness started. Price on the order was locked. Instead of taking possession of them as they come in, the city has been flipping them right back to the dealership for $3,000 more, and the dealer then sells them as used with another $2,000 added on.

Wow that's crazy! So now when the city really needs these vehicles they're going to be even more money with the parts increases. But I'm sure they don't care as it's not their money and they'll just have another tax increase so the residents can pay for it.

I live in the Boston area and all most dealerships are owned by just a few companies. Herb Chambers has at least one dealership for every brand that is sold in the US, Quirk, Colonial and Ira all have dealerships selling multiple brands too. A Ford dealer could have come into possession of these (may have been test vehicles) and the owner decided they could make a bigger profit by selling them off the Buick dealership he owns.

Yeah. The folks in public works who were looking forward to new trucks for the first time in several years aren't too happy about it. The city is banking on prices coming back down eventually and I'm sure there's some iffy Ford rules being broken because of how the fleet pricing works vs retail. When Ford announced the Police Inceptor F150 I asked our Sgt in charge of police vehicle purchasing to get a price and see if I could order through the account. It was $45,000 but they wouldn't let me order because they were worried about getting jammed up with Ford. But I guess when the dealer is the one buying work trucks back, it's ok.

power to weight has been handy. you can compare to vehicles you know. doesn't tell you about other aspects of the driving experience, but it helps.

Wait a year and see what these high priced toys are selling for , as someone mentioned there will be repos, consumers are taking on more debt, interest rates rising, inflation killing discretionary spending and need I mention the planet is warming and monkeypox is the next big epidemic.
People will be pleading for the return of the Yugo and not some jacked up $80k vehicle than can go a bit further up the road than joe blow's truck/suv .

Center for Microeconomic Data:
The Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit for the first quarter of 2022 shows a solid increase in total household debt of $266 billion, to $15.84 trillion. Balances now stand $1.7 trillion higher than at the end of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anytime I want to feel better about life drama I head over to the moan and groan website B6G.com.

Those fools keep waiting and accepting being second rate buyers the way Ford deals with reservation holders. One post was cursing Ford because the type of tire they equipped the Sasquatch package pics up gravel and is causing paint chips on his door.

The Maverick I ordered is already on a Toyota lot with 51 miles for 42k. It would have been 28k with the way I built it, same as what I paid for my Ranger.

XLT with the tow package and awd.

I like the rear bumper on my 2019 Lariat much better. It has a lower step in the middle, amking it easier to climb up...
