What did the co-pilot twist on the rim when it was "the time" (about the 2:20 mark)? What does that do? I'm assuming that it has something to do with traction, but....?
Locked in manual hub for 4wd.

Did you notice how the drivers side tire jammed the fender into door when they initially tried to move the Bronco beginning at the 7 minute mark...

That's an expensive vehicle to crunch up so easily. Too large tires? Or poor build/design.

My 1972 FJ40 never had a problem like that.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
he's always pulling busted Broncos and tacomas out of places they couldn't handle
Well, I am thinking a failed fuel pump will do it for just about anybody, unless you have a spare in the toolbox. I got stuck on the Rubicon from a failed slave cylinder, no clutch, so had to drive out from Buck's lake in 2nd gear, fun times.

Too much tire and not enough lift to accommodate.

There is a lot of attention paid to wheel wells on newer vehicles. Has a big impact on fuel economy. Even these rolling bricks, as they need all the help they can get.

That dude has been pulled out several times before due to questionable mods . His nickname suites him . The problem was frayed wires due to some of his previous mods , not the fuel pump .

Looks like it'd be nice if there was a way to connect the power steering to the battery or a jump box for a recovery like this.
