I bought the first year Ranger (2019) however, I knew it was current around the world and the 2.3L was tested.

This Bronco issue is engine related but again, it's a common engine. Not good news

Damn , thats bad for those people that FINALLY got their rides after the painful wait ... I usually avoid first run anything if possible , now I'm tempted to jump before things start disappearing...

Covid 19 strikes again. A lot of the suppliers to the big 3 have been struggling mightily to meet their commitments (especially early on at the height of the first wave of Covid shutdowns). Melling had a bunch of issues with their lifters they were supplying to GM and MoPar.

Turns out, even to the lowliest process machine operator, it isn't as easy as it looks to crank out zero defects.

I get the whole supply chain issue but the valves breaking...and from a certain month (allegedly) screams metallurgy issues....heat treat not done right or wrong materials used.

Some supply chain guy mixed up two boxes and bam...

As for first year...yeah I say that and yeah I got me a 2019...but as was stated by FX4offroad alot of it was extant technology...the trans from F150, engine buffed up for more torque from the Mustang and the base gubbins from the global Ranger.

I think the Bronco caught Covid. :(

Someone here had a turbo go bad on a 22 Ranger. Wastegate solenoid failure if I remember right.
