Does anyone know a good place to tie into dash lights for stedi switches? I have the rest all figured out just need a tap for the dash lights.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the wiring diagram for panel illumination. The BCM is the fuse panel module under the driver side dash.

Then the next question is - What type of switch is it? What is the requirement for the background illumination of the switch you are installing?
12 Volt source or PWM - Dimming Compatible?

Look for a wording like: PWM Dimmer Compatible or OEM Illumination Compatible or Constant Current LED Driver (Built-In)

The background lighting for the truck is PWM - LED

Having trouble getting that info. Diagram just says interior lighting. Others on here that used these didn't tie in they just used power full time. Id rather not. These are the toyota square switches by stedi. It would be really nice to have a fuse I could tap for interior lighting. That would be easiest. I have several fuse taps.

These are oem illumination compatible led lit switches. They are toyota 22mm square switches. I Just need a place to pick up illumination signal that won't freak out the bcm.

Then the switch should work, let me clarify:
The background lighting will work - for the most part with any switch, but since the illumination circuit is PWM they tend not to follow the dimming control of the dash lights. They remain full bright or flicker and or cause flickering on other lights on the circuit.
I recall another member ran into this issue (switch on the console) became a distraction at night producing a nice bright (Blue) glow.
I have not taken a dive into - specific part numbers etc but came up with 2 ideas that may help in getting the (background) lighting of the switch to dim.

1. Use a (switchable) fused source for a RC Module and the Illumination circuit as the trigger, this provides the same function as the (trucks) background illumination (Led Driver)

2. Use a (switchable) fused power source for a Dimmer Switch and the illumination circuit as the trigger - the separate dimmer will only dim the added switch.

The above are 2 options - if the switch you install does not (dim to acceptable levels) for your comfort (eyes)

Depending on where you want to place the switch - will depend on the easiest spot to tap the illumination circuit (shortest route)

This is what I'm putting in. It snaps in under the power ports.

You should try one of the lower multifunction switch packs - either one will do as they are wired on the same circuit - depending on your options. These are the switches with the Park Aid - ASS etc

Pin 5 = Illumination
Pin 3 = Ground
