Cup holder widening

Have a 2023 Ranger and by far the biggest annoyance to me is the super tiny water bottle holder. It's honestly ridiculous how small it is. Even my wife's Acura has a full size cup holder. I initially got an insert that sits in the cup holder but it was honestly also annoying because it raised the cup holder up and would fly out when off roading.

So I'm trying to see if anyone has attempted to do anything to modify the cup holder. Options I could see are possibly finding a Ford oem cup holder from another model that uses a full size cup holder or 3d printing something (I don't have a printer) or somehow modifying this one.

I know I can't be the only one that is annoyed by this but I couldn't find any threads about it so lmk if anyone has any ideas. Thanks!

I assume you're referring to the center console cupholders. We use Nalgene reusable bottles. The 500ml almost fits. But if I don't jam it down, then it tries to pop out, especially while off road. Have thought about removing the spring loaded tensioning levers for just a bit more room. Likely enough for our 500ml bottles.

Anyone else with ideas?

I clicked here out of curiosity as to what the issue was. My 20 oz Mt. Dew fits with room to spare. If the cup holder was any bigger, it would flop around.

We use a large 40oz bottle with a paracord handle and I bought these hooks. They clip onto the headrest post and hold up to 27lbs. It's an easy reach to the passengers seat for it and they're not in your way on the center console.

I have a larger Iron Flask water bottle that actually wedges quite nicely into the driver side door panel storage area. Usually forget it there when I get out though.

I like that idea, I usually just toss my Cirkul on the pass seat since no ones sitting there...ever lol.
