Copper recently put out a new aggressive all-terrain tire called the Rugged Trek. It seems to be in a similar style to the ridge grappler as an off road leaning all terrain with better on-road manners than a M/T.

My question is are any of you running these? If so can you comment on how you like them on your ranger or other vehicle? I want to give Coopers another chance and I’ve had so many BFG A/T tires over the years it would be cool to try something else. They certainly look the part!

Haven't heard anything on these but I've seen them as well.

I can say the Coiper snow tires I put on my FiST have been great, though.

Can’t comment on these specifically but I used Cooper Zeon LTZ (before they discontinued them) on my Rover and they were an awesome balance between on-road daily driver and off-road. They got me through the same obstacles as rigs with BFGs with no side punctures and I swore I’d always buy Coopers.

My Tremor came with the Generals so I’ll see how they do.

Though the only Cooper's I have used were a set of snow tires. They were good for what they were. For this particular tire I can't speak much.

Now it you do want to go with something different than the BFG KO2 then might I suggest the Firestone Destination XT? I just had a set installed yesterday and to say the least I really like it!!! On road manners are great and the Offroad performance is awesome!! It is a great ballance between an All Terrain and a Mud Terrain.

These come in an XL load range tire. The 265/70r17 is only 45 lbs so they shouldn’t be hateful as far as performance loss and mpg drain.

That size and weight definitely won't hurt performance and MPG much. I just went from 265/70-17 Bridgestone Revo 3(40 lb tire) to tye 285/70-17 Firestone Destination XT(50 lb tire). I did loose some performance but still not bad.
