Nothing fancy, mostly I just wanted a turn down style that eliminates the side exit. I found this through Googling.

Searching here I found a thread from a couple years ago where @FrostedTurkey has one installed and reported good things. Just curious if anyone else has experience to MBRP stuff. Price is definitely in my AO lol.

*edit: Stage3 has a better price :like:

I have been running that exact one for about 2 years. So far so good. I bought mine from Stage3. Seems to be holding up. Not much drone, not too loud.

I went with MBRP on my 2019 XLT at @ 30K miles. At the time, they were the only brand I could find that offered a “dual exit” out-the-back option (for that faux Raptor look…) I still love it. Definitely a HP & torque boost; highway MPG went up a couple. No drone in the cabin & an exotic whine when I stand on it. It has gotten a tad louder over time (now @ 70K), but not annoyingly so. Install was straight forward/easy. I do wish I’d gotten stainless instead of galvanized. Next time.

I've been eyeballing that Carven kit as well because it's stainless steel which is beneficial for utah snow/salt, but it seems to be considerably louder than the MBRP Armor Lite kit. The MBRP hits just the right sound profile I want, but I worry about the aluminized steel in the long term.

I wonder if there is a high-temp coating option to explore if I go with the MBRP. That's another rabbit hole for a different day

Having dealt with both vendors, I would go with Stage 3 every time. Better prices, shipping speed and support. Now you have me thinking! :) I just don't want it to drone or sound like a Honda Civic with a coffee can exhaust. Have you found a good sound clip?

I've had the exhaust sitting in a box for over two years. A couple of questions.
1.. was the sound too much hum sounding when driving above 25 mph.
2.. did you have muffler's shop weld up the system and was the fitment good?
As mentioned, no welding required. Gibson did a great job making the exhaust fit right up with quality clamps. The shop I used did a great job and even followed instructions about the heat shielding with brake line location.
You will notice the sound difference, mostly at lower RPM. But it's not by any means obnoxious and at cruising it's almost non-existent.

There's some sound clips in the American Trucks link. From the clips in that link the sound is fine to me. Definitely going with Stage3, they have always been great with my purchases and questions. Plus their videos on Youtube have been a great help.

I just ordered the rear exit MBRP. All my research showed there is a mild increase in sound and no drone at speed. Looks like a good choice of brand.
