I was at my Ford dealer this morning and asked his garage techs about it. I was told that for the push button starts, they have a cap that snaps in to hide the hole, but on the keyed trucks, it's just left open.

it's like ford wanted to create an ignition ring aftermarket
I just ordered the glow in the dark one, so we'll see.

pushbutton is in a completely different location, I doubt there's an interchangeable part.

I’m relieved to see that it’s not just me about this!
I complained about this after the test drive, and got a blank stare and a half-assed answer. I knew it wasn’t “right”!!

I'm a new owner to a preowned 2019 XL and two things i noticed were the looseness of the ignition cylinder and thought it might be the switch blade key but it's not and then the other was a lighted ring with a carbon type cross hatch pattern and thought no way is that factory.
Then i searched here on the forum and found my answer that i have the lighted bezel that a pic is posted above from a forum member.
But while that cleans up the look it doesn't tighten up the cylinder, so does anyone have the black plastic ring by Heaven Designs and does it fix the cylinder?
(My bezel pic below)
TIA, Rob.

I've had my truck two years and just noticed this. Of course, this forum already has an entire thread including solutions. You could say I'm the observant type.
nice resurrect!

One would think Ford could put on a trim piece that makes the Ranger look finished. After all, it IS a $40k truck. 😡
