Picked up my new truck Saturday and when I opened center console I found this. Wasn't on the sticker nor was it added to the cost of the truck as an accessory.

Actually not sure it wasn't the dealer. They tinted the windows too and I wasn't charged. I'll keep my VIN a secret just in case... :sunglasses:
Sounds more like the dealer setup crew installed options on the wrong stock# truck. It happens.

Mine sounded pretty loud when I inspected it, so I opened the hood and, with my best poker face, closed it and went to the business office to sign out quickly.

I've got a lot of points built up which will probably take care of it. I was eyeing the ford performance on board compressor, but I read that the points only work on accessories, not ford performance items. Guess I gotta call the dealer.
Didn't know that either. Let me know what you find out. I have 126,000 points burning a hole in my pocket.

I'm virtually positive that all accessories are dealer installed.

Guarantee that somebody picked up their Ranger that week and had to have a chat with the salesman about where their safe that they had to wait to take delivery to be installed went.

Good to see the little guy get a win.

Lucky you. You know how the old saying goes, "I'd rather have luck than a license to steal". :)

Here is something to consider if you're in the mood for a vehicle safe.

The ones shown, with the rotary locks, are not that safe. If you know how (YouTube is full of vids), decoding them is rather easy. I'm not sure Ford offers them with an Ace lock, but the manufacturer does.

I have an under seat vault made by Tuffy, and available from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Tuffy-293-01-Under-Security-Drawer/dp/B009W8O03Y). It is less expensive, uses an Ace lock, but is somewhat harder to install (requires seat removal).
