Hey man
I got a new ā20 XLT in April that was a leftover. Weāre being cautious about Covid atm, but when it gets better I have a plethora of build issues that warranty will have to take a look at. I wanna love the truck, but man there are quality control issues out the butt @ just 5k miles...
My thoughts and prayers are with you and to the others going through the same. What a nasty, nasty virus.
I had my first born, who is immunocompromised, during this pandemic. I am lucky to have his mom work from home and Iāve done daddy daycare every since this crap exploded over here...
Iām sorry that happened. It is ridiculous. But honestly thereās no running from it. I had a C6 a few yrs back and id park in the very back of the lot wherever Iād go. A lot of times the lot would be pretty empty and Iād come back out to someone intentionally parked as close as they could in...
In the past Iāve always owned extended cabs, but having a pandemic baby changed that. 1st crew cab truck Iāve owned. I got his child seat in the center so he sits like a king and can see out the windows unlike his moms car.
Thanks for taking the time to explain what you meant (with pics). I will prob try that Bc it seems simple enough.
And to add to what Phil is saying...if I gently close it, then the ā1stā latch catches via the pics I put at the top of the page. (With the big overhang) After that latches...
Honestly Iām gonna let it ride. After hearing the responses on this forum, If I close it with some authority itās flush and fine. If something happens down the road then Iāll cross that bridge when I get there.
Title says it all. I did a quick search and didnāt see much of anything regarding the topic and experience. Looking to order one ASAP, and was curious on first hand experience. Thanks!
Well, yāall...thank you for all the replies And props to runbeerfish. I just gave it a harder close and it was the solution. It pops, like itās under slight stress, when you unlatch it...but the gap is clearly gone. Not sure it will pose a problem down the road, but it def corrected the...
Yeah, thanks. Youāre right. Itās just going through all the Mickey Mouse with dealers, warranty, etc. Just a hard pill to swallow when you buy, and bring something bright, shiny, and new home.
yeah, I live in the metro Nashville area so there are a few. I look after my 1 yr old full time so it would be an inconvenience to go further, but it looks like itās headed that way. And my sentiment exactly about it being covered under warranty. Itās all sunshine and rainbows before the...
Interesting, had no clue about the soft and full close. I want to say Iāve done it both ways, but Iāll def give it a harder close this evening and see if itās a diff result. I think I covered my bases, but wonāt hurt to try. Thank you for the info.
Yeah, you could be right. Or could of just been sent through like that. you try and check as much as you can on the lot, didnāt even notice. Ive read about a few fit and build issues. Who knows. Depending on what my dealer says, Iāll file a complaint and seek out another dealer for a 2nd...
Yeah, thanks yāall. Itās ridiculous honestly, and I can already tell where this svc/body shop is headed. Any suggestions if/when they say itās ānormalā and to kick rocks?
Hi,
Iāve been browsing this forum for several mos leading to picking up a new ranger last wknd. Iāve enjoyed the truck, but Iām just curious yāallās thoughts on my tailgate. Passenger side is flush, but driver side is like 1/2 inch off. Lots of daylight through the gap. Called the local...
