I did, yes.
XLT Sport 4X4 with 302A package.
I don't know if the package makes any difference or not, but did get a second key fob wrapped in the plastic with the owner's manual.

The day is probably not far away where you will have to pay extra for a hard copy of the owners manual. The only downside I could see is if you don't get a copy an are directed to reading it on line is if you wreck or injure someone because of a setting or something an your lawyer says you never received the proper operating instructions. Like in reg cab trucks you could turn the air bag off for a child but if you don't have the owners manual explaining that you could try to sue ford.

Are the indicators by the gear shift lever supposed to be illuminated? I’ve had the truck for a day now,drove the first time in the dark. P, R, N, etc show up on the instrument cluster,but by the shifter they are not lit up. Is this supposed to be like this ?

George, this has been covered many times so I merged yours with the latest one. Short answer is yes this is normal and it use to be lit up until mid 2020. Even when it was lit it never indicated which gear you were in so you still needed to look at the main gauge cluster.

No problem the search bar doesn't always work that great. Sometimes you get better results with google. Ask your question there and reference Ranger 5g. This will usually work better than the search bar at the top here.

Sorry I laughed...not at you but at the frequency of this type of questions from new buyers...Ford should be ashamed for things like this...oh yea..."nobody will notice" says the bean counter... ?

I laughed at it myself after I posted. But I just had to ask. I had a 2015 Tacoma SR5 which is similar to an XLT. The switch for 4+wheel drive among others wasn’t illuminated. I went to the dealer thinking something wasn’t working right. They told me that’s how Toyota cuts costs. A few times I put the truck in 4 HI when I though5 I was turning up the fan for more heat.

You would have to find a bezel housing with transparent lettering. At least on mine the letters are solid. You can pop up the cover starting at the cup holder and shine a flashlight under there and test yours. But I thin you would need to find a bezel with transparent lettering, tap into a key on / ambient lighting source, and mount a light. Seems to be a lot of work for something that only illuminates the lettering with no gear selection indicator. If I were to do it I would just go ahead and get the cup holder and console box LED's and light up the whole area while I was there.

Funny some of things they skimped on with the wiring and lighting but left capped connectors for other things. I think most of the capped connectors may be for items dealers tend to add after the fact as add ons. For example all for doors on mine are pre-wired for ambient lighting and capped off inside the door.
