When did they remove the gas smell from the oil? Damn bean counters removing all the features...:LOL:
My build didn't have that feature...they added fuel injection into the oil system later for aroma therapy...

Only about 50 of them :question: Sid, Have you smelled your oil lately?:shock:
Sorry I laughed...not at you but at the frequency of this type of questions from new buyers...Ford should be ashamed for things like this...oh yea..."nobody will notice" says the bean counter... ?

Sometimes they just shift the expense towards other things, like eliminating the lighting for the shifter in order to have Quaker Oatmeal added to random brake assemblies...:giggle:

Contestant 1: I'll take "Hot Cereal's" for $100 Alex
Alex: Ranger brakes

Well I take back everything I stated prior.

This is very possible and would be very cheap to do. Lights off of Amazon would be less than $10 for fixed color or a bit more if you want full RGB control.

I'll do a write up here in a bit. Need to source a good spot for an ambient lighting source. You also will not need to tear apart a bunch of panels either.

Is there a thread about how many items were removed by the bean counters from 2019 to 2021?
Let's see, these are the ones I can think of:
  • Shifter bezel lighting
  • Folding rear head rests
  • Tailgate EcoBoost badge
  • Engine cover
  • Center bed tie downs
  • Steering knuckle swap from aluminum to steel
  • Owner's manual covers
  • Wheel arches coming as textured grey plastic instead of painted Magnetic (on XLT Sport models)

Oatmeal brakes are an acquired taste. Have those in the 2010 Fusion and am pretty used to them. Jumped in the Edge today to go to FLAPs and nearly put myself through the windshield. :oops:

Ah, yep forgot about the glove box damper. And yes, they also removed the engine cover for at least part, if not all, of the '21 MY Lariat.

I am so glad I got the 2019 model.
I wanted all these!
Plus they discontinued my Platinum White Color.

if the effort is worth it to you, fill your boots. you might as well go all out and light up those cuplholders while you're at it.

I was more or less interested if it could be done relatively easily for those that want the option, plus the extra activity keeps me out of the gangs. :LOL:

the gangs are offering health plans now. worth checking them out and comparing.
I personally went with the gang who offered deep tissue massages every Friday night. once the bruising goes away, i feel fantastic.

as for the light, i get it....its a comforting night light for those scared of the dark. It literally does nothing else. The TG Damper honestly serves a function for the ladies, and Ford still hasn't offered it as a stock item.
Wait for it...is it confirmed 2023 Ranger have TGD?

My recollection includes (but I have an antique so can't confirm)
* windshield wiper heater
* some passenger seat adjustment (headrest? lumbar? don't remember.)
* pencil tray

edit to add: just saw a thread where maybe the driver headrest is also not adjustable anymore?!? come on ford, can't we at least get the same amenities as an econobox from the 90s?
