Wow, is cat theft such a big issue in the US? It's unheard of here.

So this is a motion sensor devise, what happens if an animal like a cat (pun intended lol) or raccoon or something walks under you vehicle, will they set it off?
Yes it will set it off if they cross the beam pattern. Tony doesn't care because he'll shoot them too and have them for dinner. Ever try BBQ raccoon? Not bad....they taste like chicken. ?

It can be. At one of the buildings I manage, we recently had six stolen in one evening from work vans. I'd say we have lost 25+ in past 12 months within a 10 mile geographic area.

These are in what most people would describe as bad, run down urban neighborhoods in a very large city.

Good the hear my FX4 seems to be a poor target due to skid plate and CAT location.

10 catalytic converters = 1-2 ounces of precious metals = $3000+ For thief = $5-10k profit for metal recycler/ black market cat replacement

a coworker had his cut out of his CRV on the weekend.
Neighbor right next door had his stolen off his motor home within the past week while it was parked in his driveway. Prius is one of their favorite targets and we gave my wife's 2016 Prius to my son to use so it's parked in our driveway all the time. Time to get a cat shield installed on it. I think my Ranger is safe.

I sort of purchased cat theft prevention before I bought my Ranger. I got rid of the approximately $100 worth of junk taking up space in my garage so I could park my Ranger in it. :p
