Made a trip to the hardware store yesterday to finish buying the bolts and stuff I needed to finish up. Got the 2 mounts I need now attached. Wife's bike fits in the bed nicely. Mine needs to be angled to fit, but not too severely. Will probably just use a bungee to attach each front wheel to one of the tie-downs to keep them from bouncing around.

Will get the fatbike mount installed later, and also the 2 QR mounts for the road/gravel bikes. Once I get the exodux rack, this board will be used primarily for the road bikes, anyway. Might even just drill new holes in the qr mounts and swap them out.
Is this the short bed?

Yep. My bike is a medium Guerrilla Gravity Pedalhead (loooong 29er hardtail) and my wife's is an XS Juliana Furtado, for size reference.
Thanks. Been looking at the Ranger and was wondering how my small, 27.5 FS would do in a similar diy rack setup.

My wife's bike is a 27.5, too. You'll be fine. It definitely won't need to angle more than my bike.

Neat idea! Which light kit are you using? The police around here are anal about plate visibility so I'm thinking after I get my hitch and platform rack all set up I'm going to relocate my plate and install a light kit similar to that one.

1upUSA makes a really nice plate/light kit for their hitch racks that pivots so it's visible in both rack down/up positions. No fabrication necessary.

I made this myself. Wiring harness, brackets and LED water proof trailer lights from Etrailer.com. Send me a PM if you want the parts list. Again, I made these custom for my Yakima Dr. Tray bike rack

Here's the Kuat. Nice match for the Sport gray and my hard tonneau, I think.

Sorry if this is a late post, I wanted to be able to contribute. Yakima Hold Up 2. Only issue is I cannot full open the tailgate with the rack in the down position.

Like your setup. With the front mount do you see anyway you could get 3 bikes in the back on the angle and close the endgate? Looks like 2 is about max. I got three in, but had to lift my bike up to raise the back wheel and pinch it with the endgate.

I have it set up for three bikes (2 MTB, 1 Road) but could not fit all three with the gate up. That is why i got the bed extender so i can carry all three. BTW when i use to carry my MTB with the gate up but i would move the back wheel to the side so it would fit, i messed up my front fork. so i try not to do that any longer. I rather put the gate down and use the gate extender or for short trips i just throw it over the gate and use the Bomber Strap.

How do you think having the back wheel to the side messed up your fork?

I think the pressure you put the fork under by not having the bike straight, and then you add to that the bouncing around, i think it might have been why the fork needed to be repaired.
