Well, it's definitely taller than I'd like, and that's after cutting off 4.5 inches! It sits 4" above the cab. Good news is that any lower and I don't think it would clear the front crossbar when folding the top. The rear crossbar is removable with 2 wire lock pins.

I need to remake the two rear extensions because I cut them narrow close, trying to follow the taper of the bed--so I can't snap the side panels in on the rear. Too bad, because the close fit looked great.

I used 1/4 abs sheeting cut into strips in order to fill the gap between my extensions. Works great and keeps the topper rails from bending.

1/4" thick was the right way to go! The plates don't flex at all. The bed rail will flex before the plates do and I can rock the truck by swaying the rack.

Looks like you went full length with your bed rail extensions? Looks SOLID!

I also like how close you got it to sit to your roof. No wasted space and probably better for aero

I can park it in the garage with a ladder on it.

Mine is a beefy rack. I altered it to allow the Softtopper to be retracted. This idea has been covered in several posts. I'm currently working on it to be overland use as well.

Thanks to you, I'm now registered on R5G, since that was the only way I could determine whose rack you were using,,,,,

It's an Adrian Steel adapted to fit.

I'm not done yet. I have to add lights, air deflector, floodlight mounts, sideboards and a headache rack
