My 2021 Ranger XLT backscreen is pretty vanilla. I've seen a couple clips where people have changed the back screen by way of a USB memory stick. Can this be done with the 2021?
Any one try this yet?

Can't seem to change the back screen. There is no "edit wallpaper". Even if I choose the color from 1 of the 4 color options - it stays the same.
I must not have the Sync radio that is shown on Youtube. My screen looks like this:

I figured out the SYNC screen setting.
I set for "night mode - all the time - and then picked one of the 4 blue choices. So much better now.

How did you set it to night mode all the time?

There is a hack where you can change the appearance to any vehicle Ford has sync 3 for and Lincoln models, however it only stays on for the one power cycle of the vehicle, as in until it completely shuts off. Some of the screens don’t exactly work the greatest. It will show that cars shut down logo etc (like raptor or whatever) but generally they all look the same except the Lincolns.

NIGHT MODE
What I did was tap Settings then swipe screen options left so
I could pick Display
Tap Display
In Display in Mode hit arrow and pic Night mode
Factory setting on my truck was Auto

In Background in the display settings I had 4 different blue choices
After I picked Night mode I chose one of the blue choices in Background and now it is set for night mode all the time with my choice of the Blue backscreens.
You can always put it back

Good choice. Night mode is the first thing I selected after the last Sync update set it back to Auto and I was blinded by the daytime colors.

The choices are very limited either way. Come on Ford give us some better display modes. The Lincoln one looks great.

I'm hopefully getting my truck this Wednesday, but noticed the screen is very boring compared to my Jeep Rubicon. UConnect has, I believe, 17 different themes that change everything from background image to button style etc. I can even place buttons (hold and drag) on screen to the location I want them.

Hopefully Sync steps up it's game with an update soon..
