I used my remote start for the first time after learning that I can do it from my AppleWatch! I started before I went to lunch from work, and I got into the cab and seen the A/C was running! (I had it off as I didn't need it in the morning.)

So what temp zone will the remote run the A/C, run nothing and run the heat?

There is a setting controlled by the left steering wheel buttons where you can select two options. One is the default setting that cools the vehicle and the other uses your last settings just before turning the vehicle off. In your case it was using the default factory setting.

Check to see if have the climate control set to auto. If you do it will automatically set the temp for you. You will then have to set the temp before shutting your truck off to what you want.

I don’t have the Auto Climate Control.

This is a great feature of the Ranger Lariat. After hiking in the woods and working up a sweat, I like to start the Ranger remotely (either with the fob or with Ford Pass App on my phone) to let the air conditioning cool things off before I cross the parking lot to open my car up! With the default setting, I do not have to do anything special, as it will use the same settings that I had when I turned the engine off. I expect that this will be great in winter as well and look forward to a pre-warmed cabin with heated seats on those snowy days to come....
